Do you think someone will start a Facebook campaign to get the Spice Girls' Stop to #1?

do you know what prevented stop from getting to #1 in the first place? i'd love to know.. it's either gonna be an amazing song or a really gimmicky one though i'm sure.. and it's more likely the latter knowing the 90s..

Stop was a classic, I sadly know every word to it - Melanie C (as usual) particularly shines on it. Would have been perfect for their comeback in 2007, well had they left it a few more months to fit with the retro Motown inspired sound of 2008 anyway. Having said that, It's Like That was just as classic - was absolutely everywhere at my school at the time, although so was Stop, My Heart Will Go On, How Do I Live and Truly Madly Deeply - I guess the latter three were the enduring hits of the first few months of 1998. It was a big year for classic ballads

The Saturdays - EGO up to #46 and #112.

Weekend effect and possibly due to Frankie being on The Door, fingers crossed it makes the top 40 again!

Ego was also performed on Over The Rainbow

Ahh I didn't realise this is probably why then

It does stick out in their v.impressive chart history. Such a shame it didn't make it by 1 place... :heehee:

I thought they had released more singles than they actually did.

No, I think this comes out as their big stinker chartwise:

And I still don't think it's that bad actually.

ahhh cheers. at least it was a good song that stopped it. i just looked at the spice girls discography on wikipedia and it looks so strange to see all those number 1's in a row! surely if stop hadn't have broken that chain then that would have been some sort of record! though i'm sure even with it there are some records in there..
Yeah like 6 weeks at #1 or something, huge record. MUCH better than Stop, which imo was one of their low points.

I thought it was one of their high points. :o Musically, it was far superior to many of their other songs. Low point chart-wise though :(

Funny i mentioned that earlier, Geri Halliwell was just on Piers Morgan Life Stories. Have so much respect for her after that.

I'm tempted to start a campaign to get Lisa Scott-Lee's Electric top ten so she can restart her failed music career :heehee: Seeing as she quit the music industry as promised when it missed the top ten by a whisker.

Don't waste your time or your money, for she has RETURNED:

I know, she broke her promise for that? :(

omg was that the Cheeky Girls on there :o
