Is it really a classic?

far from it, at least compared to the Breakaway singles, and I'd even be cautious to label anything other than Since U Been Gone as a classic, maybe Because Of You...

The Glee video of the Kelly Clarkson classic was shown on a music channel this evening whilst I was eating my tea. So it should continue to climb like DSB & STL and sell to more than just the Gleek fanatics who watched Episode 13 on E4 last night. :w00t:

You eat tea? :kink: :P

Tea as in Dinner I presume :P

Yeeeeeeah, but at this rate it'll be replaced by Delirious

Delirious? will be a one week thing anyway, at least that will finally be knocked out and hopefully fall quickly from there onwards.

Nope I had my dinner (= the main meal of the day) at lunchtime.

I eat my tea at ..... teatime which is the late afternoon meal.

.... Any way back to the iTunes chart and how much higher will Delirious? get considering the religious sentiments of the song in the run up to Easter doing promo in the UK this week including Radio 5 Live & Radio 2's Simon Mayo tonight and an appearance on the Alan Titchmarsh show (Thursday) to come.

Breakfast.

Lunch

Tea (main meal of the day)

Surely? :P

Goooooo Alex you big flopstar! <3

Your post doesn't really show your being supportive of Alex G (THE FLOPSTAR). :kink:

It's DINNER, not TEA.

Tea = drink.

It must be a Mancunian/North West of England thing. I've always said breakfast, dinner and tea. :D

As for iTunes, looks like Scouting For Girls could be doing an "Iyaz". Who'd have thought they would have a UK no. 1 selling close to 100k first week. :o

Keep going Plan B. Got no chance of being no. 1 now but let's secure that place at no. 2 for Sunday. ^_^ (and no doubt be featured in VH-1's "I Can't Believe It Wasn't No. 1" in years to come :P ).

I'm with thisispop/Hits here, I wouldn't have two 'main meals' in one day, I'd never be that hungry. If I have a cooked meal at lunchtime as opposed to a sandwich or something then I class it as dinner, and then in the evening I have something light, which I would indeed refer to as tea. To have a sandwich in the evening and call it 'dinner' seems odd to me

It's no Rule The World is it  I can't see either of these songs going down as 'classics' by any stretch of the imagination...

This.

I guess I should make an iTunes related post along with it, to make it relevant. ERM...GO GLEE.

Foundations? :kink:

In all seriousness RTW should never be classed as "a song that shoulda been #1" :D Those can be left for songs like Torn (Natalie Imbruglia), Get This Party Started and Since U Been Gone :P

Rule The World is probably the biggest example of 'song that should been #1' of the noughties, maybe along with Chasing Cars, if we're talking about cultural impact (and I HATE Chasing Cars). Considering it's probably their signature song now, ahead of all of the other classic's they've released in the last 20 odd years, I definitely think it 'should have been a #1', shame they didn't release it a week earlier :drama:

I have just noticed... Are Boys Like Girls having a proper release in the UK?
