i dont keep a record of the lists, i would say whoever posts the retros up here would know the answer.you might find the longest runner on the playlist is something which hasnt necessarily went to number 1 in the charts like 'the cave'.i remember a few red hot chilli pepper songs being on there for months!!

i take a note of the playlist each week along with the weeks for each song and mumford and sons have been alisted for 10 weeks and thats not including the lets say 2 weeks the song was in the c-blist as well.the next longest track is pass out - 8 weeks in the alist and then gaga/beyonce 5 weeks.its along time alright!!

I could swear it was only A-Listed 1 or 2 weeks before it went T40.

it went straight into the alist 2 weeks after it was added - radio 1 wanted to alist the song well before the release date because they knew the band are not a singles artist and the airplay would help the album sell in greater numbers.and remember its been in the top 40 for 5weeks now - it was released on the 1/3 and went top 40 the week b4 that!

The only one they ignored previously was 'Today The Sun's On Us' (which is understandable really), they didn't playlist the Freemasons collaboration until they saw it was doing well on iTunes and even then it lasted two weeks on the playlist. I seriously hope they do. :(

I hope they also play-list Adam Lambert & Allison Iraheta, but I'm very doubtful.

 

But other American Idol contestants have done ok in the past - Kelly Clarkson & Jordin Sparks

Their playlist is truly one of the worst, they are simply trying to force certain acts down peoples throats in the hopes of making them popular like Jonzi and ignore someone like Christina.It seems they just chase after what is popular on itunes and makes them look hip.If I see anymore grime tunes on their I will scream.

pass out is one of the biggest tracks of the year and flo/dizz is off the alist is it not?its Dog days thats alisted now.
