Oh please. I do know how the US market works and seeing as I do, I am aware that if a song goes for adds in January and 4 months later it has not even charted then it has flopped. The song has also been on iTunes since January and no one is interested in it. How can you sit there and say there is no way to determine if it will be a hit or not when you know fine well the adds date has passed and radio are not playing it.

Few people are buying the song most likely because few people are hearing the song....because few stations have it in regular rotation. Once the song starts getting more spins then we can determine if it's doing well or not. EIL is still in the 40s on the pop chart. It simply isn't getting enough spins and not enough AI gains to take off. Their promoters need to push it harder.

Leona's Bleeding Love was added to iTunes in December and didin't become a hit until March. Recently OneRepublic's All The Right Moves went Top 20..a song that was first sent for adds in September. Like I said you don't understand how the US market works especially when we are talking about artists with little to no radio profile. I'm not saying the song will be a hit, all I'm saying is that it's too early to come out and make statements like "it has flopped". By saying things like that you will look real dumb if the song actually becomes a hit. Does that make sense ?

You do realise X Factor US doesn't start until Fall 2011. So they are not going to release a second single until then?

The point is JLS fans are delusional and are now saying this was a hype track. They haven't got on high profile shows as no one is interested in having them on big shows.

Tbh I don't know much about the U.S market either but I know that it is too early to say they are flopping.. and please do not call me a delusional JLS fan as I am far from it.. I very well know when they are flopping or doing well and I'm not afraid to admit it like most fans.. I thought X Factor started sooner than that.. but JB has already said in an interview that they should be performing on it.. No one knows what will happen.. I'm just saying you can't really make statements like "they have flopped" etc so soon.. They are concentrating more on recording the album out there at the moment

Leona became a big hit in the US as she had good promo and got a slot on American Idol which is something that JLS will not be getting. Leona's record label also had faith to announce a release date for the album which is not the case with JLS as their song is flopping no matter how many times you say it is not. I know that I'm not going to look dumb as this song is not going to be a hit.

They are flopping the track has been out since January as I have previously said and is getting nowhere. Taio Cruz was released much later and is a hit, now you can say that it became a hit as Ludacris was on it all you want, however, the fact of the matter is it was only a hit as it was a good song which is something Everybody In Love is not.

JB is talking utter crap, how can they have a performance booked on a show for something that doesn't start for well over a year.

I can make this statement as it's a fact.

In your opinion, many people obviously think it's a good song otherwise it wouldn't have gotten to #1 and sold upwards of 350k.

It is the most generic and boring song that hit number 1 last year and I'm entitled to my opinion if you think sales determines what a good song is then you are clearly wrong.

I actually prefer Everybody In Love to their other singles. I don't think it's generic or boring at all - Beat Again on the other hand...

Did I even say that? No.

I said it is obvious that 350k people liked the song enough to buy it. I personally think it's a piece of turd.

Since when did I say they had a performance booked already ? :S He mentioned in a interview that they should hopefully be performing after talks with Simon.. Not that it was 100% certain.. & I think it would be good for Simon to have them on as success stories of the show.. same with Alex, Leona etc..

Imo I still like Everybody in Love but they should have waited and released better material from their 2nd album (working with better producers).. They have good management/are on a good label though so surely they know what they are doing

Wrong. Bleeding Love was a hit before she did any promotion. It was #1 on iTunes before any promo started. It took months to take off as she had no radio profile and no featured artist. No matter how many times you say EIL is flopping... it isn't, at least not yet. Like I said it may or may not be a hit, too early to tell. It's picking up on the radio nicely so it's looking good for them atm.

If it does become a hit, I do hope you come back here and admit how wrong you were :) And BTW I'm not a fan either.

Aren't you just completely contradicting yourself by saying Leona got to the top with no promotion or radio play. JLS have had promotion and you keep claiming they have radio play yet the song is nowhere to be found. I can say Everybody In Love is flopping as it is flopping. They are also coming back to the UK in about a month to do summer dates and promo so there is no way they are going to get a hit in the next month.

I agree with mm83, it is too early to straight away write EIL off as a flop.

Their TV promotion has been very minimal.

I'm personally not a fan or anything but wish Alex/JLS fans would lighten bloody up and stop trying to score points against eachother. Amazingly there is a chance both could do well in the US. Shocking, I know.

I'd read back to check but cbb,

they've mixed up '[the hills are alive...] sound of music' or something for their new single out July.

Edit: just saw the topic for it. Bah

'Everybody In Love' is #27 on Radio Disney's Top 30 Countdown this Week :kink:.

It's good for them as it means the song is being given huge exposure to an audience which they appeal too.

The positions are determined by requests.

'Everybody In Love' has a negative bullet on US Radio... that's never a good thing.

It could recover, but I highly doubt it. Radio programmers will see it has a negative bullet and think the songs 'over' so won't add it.

Actually, AFAIK, X Factor US is due to start Fall 2010. There are quite a few people out there not impressed that yet another show is going to be messing about with Fox's schedule.

In that case, where i read it is mistaken. I have since checked Buzzjacks Reality TV forum.

Thanks for the polite reply :)

Looks like it's going to flop now, continuous days of negative spins. Wonder if Jive will give them another push ? If they do I bet it will be with a featured artist holding them by the hand.
