June 1, 201015 yr The thing no-one realises is I'm not stating Miley isn't overexposed... I haven't made that statement, I'm simply saying how much Alicia is.. Yes, Miley has been overexposed in the past; but thats Disney for you. They will milk a cow for as much as they can get.
June 1, 201015 yr Miley singles always peak a week or two after their physical releases for some reason. This one probably won't be much different.
June 2, 201015 yr Miley singles always peak a week or two after their physical releases for some reason. This one probably won't be much different. That only happened for 'See You Again' and '7 Things'. 'See You Again' climbed up the chart two or three weeks after it's release, but I don't think there was any reason. '7 Things' originally peaked at #26 the week of it's physical release and it only got a new peak of #25 because of X Factor. I wish iTunes didn't delete the high version of '7 Things', it was almost in the top 10 on iTunes then they deleted it. -_-
June 2, 201015 yr Performance now on Thursday.. Not sure if this will be able to climb to the top 10 this week.. Possibly next ?
June 2, 201015 yr I agree, it has a lot more chance of getting top 10 next week rather than this week now.
June 2, 201015 yr We can hope it makes Top 10 Big Top 40 this Sunday though? :kink: Not sure how sales are split through week but I think Fri/Sat sales account for quite a lot. Top 10 unlikely. Top 20, more realistic for this week.
June 2, 201015 yr I don't think Miley will be able to get a top 10... She might crack top 10 on iTunes after BGT but I don't think an appearance on Graham Norton will be enough to sustain that.

Yup, it all depends how the Top 10 effect works for her as it could be many are not aware of it's early release. :D
June 2, 201015 yr It's now officially confirmed she'll perform this tomorrow on Britain's Got Talent. From her facebook: Big day for Miley tomorrow, as she’ll be making a very special guest appearance on Britain's Got Talent with a live performance of her brand new single 'Can't Be Tamed'. ITV1 - Thursday June 3rd - 7:30pm. And if you haven’t done so already, please don’t forget to download ‘Can’t Be Tamed’.
June 2, 201015 yr Miley Cyrus -16th on itunes Atm !! Quite high bars tbh !!! No Radio !! = Doomed. Miley Cyrus will be incredibly lucky to get top 15!! which i'm gutted about in midweek she's 23... which guarantees her top 20 i think.

A shame they added her a date late, them extra days sales could've made a difference. :drama: I actually think her second week will be her peak week. :)

'7 Things' originally peaked at #26 the week of it's physical release and it only got a new peak of #25 because of X Factor. I thought The Climb did it too because it was released the same week as Girls Aloud's Untouchable which went to number 11. I thought it copied the same sort of run as See You Again by going to number 13 on physical release week then moving up to 11 a week or two after. Obviously not though! My CD single was sent by HMV today which is really annoying because I went into a massive HMV store today and could've brought it there if I hadn't already ordered it, usually I just go to my local one and they stock about two singles and never the one I'm after hence why I now just order them. Typical

'Untouchable' got to #11, 'Please Don't Leave Me' (by Pink) got to #12 and 'The Climb' got to #13 on physical release week (which they all shared), and the next week, Miley climbed to #11 with Pink staying at #12.

Ahh I thought so, I was sure I remember buying them both at the same time. Thanks :) Edited June 2, 201015 yr by Swagger91
June 3, 201015 yr Great performance on BGT! The vocals weren't perfect, but overrall, it was really good. ^_^ The last note at the end was pretty stop-on, too, if you ask me. :o
June 3, 201015 yr Very good performance! Alot better than I thought it would be. Her speaking voice irritates me though
