imho the rise in support for the lib dems will only rob the tories of votes. the tv debate has boosted the lib dems and show boy cameron up for the uncious weasel he is. few people believe the boy wonder, i still dont think theyll win.

I actually think Clegg will draw more Labour voters away from Labour.

Either way ... I don't think I'm bothered who gets in ... it'll be another five years of misery for the majority of us - Lib, Lab or Tory. It'll only be the low-earning workers, the 'working poor' who suffer. I doubt people on incapacity benefits (and all the benefits that go with being on that benefit) will any worse off.

Anyone who thinks any party is getting an overall majority needs a reality check.

A lot can happen in two weeks though Danny. Who thought this time last week that the Lib-Dems would have such a poll bounce? Anyone who says they did is a liar! ;) Cameron could have a brilliant last debate and we see a Tory surge to give them victory. It's not over just yet.

What, in two weeks? The Brown bounce lasted several months, these sorts of bounces tend to last for a couple of months at least - Clegg had perfect timing. Unless something goes catastrophically wrong for the Lib Dems they'll get about 25-30+% of the vote definitely. That said, I can't see the Tories going below 32% nor can I see Labour going below 28% on election day - so essentially Clegg has to try and reach 35%.

The one thing that is certain is that there is no enthusiasm for Labour whatsoever, poll after poll has them in 3rd place even if I have never been that believeable about opinion polls so as people who are saying Lib Dem now realise that a Lib Dem vote is a vote for Brown through the back door they will realise that a conservative vote is the only way to get rid of Brown.

And Clegg is going to be a marked man now in the Murdoch press and the Daily Nazi, they will probe every little aspect of his life from his student days onwards in an attempt to discredit him, Murdoch wants a tory victory and 99% of the time what Murdoch wants Murdoch gets by one way or another

Cameron will be the next prime minister, there will be a conservative working majority albeit probably not a massive one but a very comfortable one

So predictable yet so true.

Just have a look at these beauties from today's Daily Heil:

An opinion poll in the Guardian says 46% of likely Lib Dem voters would be happy with a Lib Dem-Labour coalition with Brown in charge. Only 25% want a coalition with Cameron in charge.

And btw, I'd say the more the press attacks Clegg, the more it helps him. It adds to the perception that he's an outsider from the establishment, which is what has got him this far anyway.

The more people hear something the more they start to believe it, well in the case of the less well informed and the less intelligent that is the case and there are a lot of them out there

Those are hilarious

Of course he shouldn't have to announce to the press who he'd like to form a hung parliament with in the event of one. Talk about biased journalism. And there was me thinking we had a free press.

the only way you can protect your lifestyle is NOT to vote tory ....

Cameron isn't going to be able to bring in benefits reform. Anyone who's on incapacity benefit will be protected by the European Court of Human Rights. And as for people on Jobseekers' Allowance, I'd like to hear how Cameron plans to magic up enough jobs that all those people can take, when there's already 2.5m unemployed. His immediate cuts to the public services is only going to increase the number of "scroungers".

The European Court of Human Rights take years to make rulings, up to 4 years or something so Chris might well be forced into working for a few years and then once they rule he might get a grand or two compensation or something if he is a genuine case which I am far from convinced about

The Tories know that they would be ruled against, and consequently, would not enforce the policy in the first place. And IF Chris has been diagnosed with clinical depression, then it is recognised that he's not fit for work. Regardless of whether you personally agree with it, that IS the official medical status of it, and so the ECHR would rule in his favour.

I'm not voting Tory. If I do vote it'll be BNP. Most likely won't bother though.

Everyone on incapacity benefit should be examined by an independent doctor, it is easy for someone's GP if they like them to sign them off or whatever but it is harder to hoodwink independent doctors

I think that everyone on incapacity benefit should be signed off by a doctor who is not their own.

There is a lot of people with "bad backs" who blag their GP's into declaring them unfit for work

Benefit fraud costs billions each year to taxpayers, far more than MP's fiddling their expenses

That's always happened BA. I see a DWP paid Dr. every two years. That will carry on but now they've been told to get tougher and all existing IB claimants will be re-tested under the new rules from October.

Aah didn't realise that but in terms of the new rules that is something I fully support, if you are genuinely sick you have nothing to worry about in terms of the new rules but there is someone near me who doesn't work because of back problems who looks very mobile indeed and if I look out of my front window I can sometimes see him gardening etc I have no doubt he is faking it and those type of people need to be taken off incapacity benefit as they are fraudsters

He probably exaggerrates his back pain to the DWP Dr. then!! Easy to do as no-one can prove or disprove his word can they?
