But the shops are 1000000times more busier now.. the cue in my local hmv was around the whole shop. Last minute xmas shopping. If it dosen't get 10k i think we'll see a sales increase.

 

Fair enough that it's busy of course it will be. There's no real foundation for an increase though, that is what i'm saying. There wont just be an increase out of the blue. Its most likely to loose/gain another few 100 copies but slide right down to the bottom end of the Top 100's.

 

Last December they had the foundations laid down for the Ego campaign which had baught back Wordshaker to life and stabalised it in the Top 75 for a month. Chasing Lights also had Issues coming up and funnily enough comparing its sales to Headlines, they're relatievly similar. The week before Christmas 2008 it sold 7.7k and rose to 8.4k but falling 7 places from #80 to #87. That was due mainly because of the Christmas market but also because of Issues. It's sales however after that week fell quite alot but rose back up into the Top 40. Headlines will do the complete oposite without a 3rd single. Its sales will quite frankly nose dive out the Top 100 next year.

 

They haven't done themselves any favours this Christmas. They have not successfuly appealed to the Christmas market at all this year. They've missed a massive opertunity to cash in with the Headlines re-issue but have failed to do so. By releasing another single or having a sale on would of helped them dramatically this Christmas.

 

It makes me laugh how they don't mind 'ripping us off' in the year but when it comes to Christmas they just don't bother.. and at the most crucial time of year when sales are sky high. Another opertunity missed! Fascination do need a jolly good kick up the arse.

Thanks for the update BUT please credit KEV KEV, he goes out of his way to get figures that you request so it's only fair that you credit him.

Do you think by the end of next week; sales will have increased, even by the handful. I mean it is the final week for Xmas shoppers to do their shopping.... :)

The Buzzjack sales and the Haven sales for Higher have the same digits before and after the comma. :P

Didn't they only need to sell 10K for a top ten placing in August? And now they're just 1K under that at position #43 in January. :o

That's a bit odd, I don't know what to believe now!

 

Ooooo 9,000+ sales for this week; very impressive, hopefully the same next week or just slightly less. It could even be slightly more since we havent been given the sales for the week prior.

 

Before at #87 it could have sold alot less so that figure of 9k for this week is a very rough guideline. They had to re-run the charts on the week ending 26/12 and the 'newer' version found that there was a decrease of 20% of sales in every release in the Top 10. So if that was spread across the whole chart, then Headlines may have only done 4-5k on 26/12.
