Is it really about who gets there first?!

Anyway, you seem to be good with computers and the like...have you got mp3s of the songs? I don't know how to rip songs etc. =[

Please somebody upload the songs for me if anyone of you ripped them. I can't listen to them here, but i can (i hope! :( ) download and i won't be able to make it for more 7 hours knowing that there're new Kele's songs and i can't hear them

Just listen on his soundcloud until the album comes out, i'm not aware about ripping from soundcloud, but it's such a great site that i'm against ripping from it.

Well, i've not technically 'ripped' it, just stole it :kink:

And yeah i got Admin access and finally installed the Adobe Flash Player (i mean how f***ed up could it be not having this thing installed on your PC?!?! ) so i could copy the songs onto my player at work! (And good times - my earphones are half broken  I'm listening to the songs now without touching the wire/breathing  ) :cheer:

Onto the point - f*** YEAH I'M IN HEAVEN.

THESE SONGS ARE INCREDIBLE.

(shocking news i know!)

So far:

1. 'Walk Tall'

2. 'Rise'

3. 'Tenderoni'

4. everything else EVER.

This 'US soldier' thing in 'Walk Tall' is just amazing although it's quite weird  Claps are orgasmic. I adore claps done along with the beat in songs.

Average so far but I suppose I keep comparing them to his work with Bloc Party.

I'm not very keen on 'Walk Tall' at all tbh.

Really like 'Rise', but I think that's probably because it's the song most similar to Bloc Party's style.

Rise and Walk Tall are soooo much better than Tenderoni.

'Best band of all time'?

You kidding me?

They're pushing at worst band of all time, aside from perhaps Westlife and No Doubt.

*hides from Bloc loons*

:kink: I repeat I actually like Tenderoni

How can you think No Doubt and Bloc Party are as bad as Westlife?! :(

They're two of my favourite bands ever...although I agree on Westlife.

I just discovered this today in the CD swap thread. It confirms that they are the best band to emerge in the 00s.

Tony you should try out all of their B-sides, I perfer their B-sides to their albums tbh, so many gems.

not that I know of but there is a reasonbly popular fan made compilation of all the AWITC b-sides called 'Another Weekend In The City', if you look at tracklisting of each single though it will tell you the b-sides anyway, will get you the track titles (the remix b-sides are good too but the real treats are the original tracks used as b-sides), Another Weekend In The City is a great place to start though, thats the best of them.

I love this track. I listened to it far more than Mercury upon it's release.

Bloc Party singer Kele Okereke played his first ever solo show in Ireland last night (May 14).

Mixing new songs from his forthcoming debut 'The Boxer' with a handful of remixed tracks from the Bloc Party back catalogue, the show in Limerick marked the unveiling of his new, dance-orientated musical direction.

Prior to his arrival on stage, everyone in the crowd at Dolan's Warehouse was encouraged to pick up a free shot of Jagermeister in order to share a toast with Kele, who announced. "It’s a special occasion, so I thought I’d buy everyone a drink!" when he arrived on stage shortly after 10.30pm.

With many of the crowd unsure what to expect from the show, during proto-dubstep opener 'Walk Tall' the audience remained relatively still until Kele followed it up with 'On The Lam'.

After a handful of new tracks - including 'The Other Side', which was momentarily interrupted after Kele feared a crowd member had stolen his maracas – he indulged his fans with a medley of remixed Bloc Party songs, culminating in a rapturously received 'One More Chance'.

The biggest cheer of the evening was reserved for Kele's debut solo single 'Tenderoni' though, which saw the singer mount a high speaker stack before nearly losing his footing.

Only once during the show did the singer perform on guitar, for new song 'Unholy Thoughts'.

before he played new song 'Rise' and returned for the encore which culminated with Bloc Party's hit single 'Flux', which he referred to as "a song by a band I used to be in".

Kele played:

'Walk Tall'

'On The Lam'

'Meet Me In The Middle'

'The Other Side'

'Everything You Wanted'

'Blue Light'

'The Prayer'

'One More Chance'

'Tenderoni'

'Unholy Thoughts'

'Rise'

'All The Things'

'Flux'

"The band i used to be in"??? USED TO?
