What was the minimum time limit of the album we used to have?

What was the minimum time limit of the album we used to have?

 

I just checked my compilation Fused and it runs for 69 minutes 50 seconds so I assume we had the time limit as 72 minutes?

It was 80 I think as that's what you can fit on a blank CD. I know my last one was of 23 flop singles from the first 6 months of 2008, I'd assume that lasted close to 80 minutes...

I think Medicatedsoap said he was going to open a new thread detailing what's required although most of us already know but for all the newcomers it helps them out.

 

Another thing which I don't think has been mentioned is that when you come to zip your folder of tracks, title the zip file the name you have chosen to call your compilation. Then when MS starts to send the zip links to download, everyone will know what the album they've received is called.

 

I'm sure everything else has been covered.

Maximum was 79mins-ish I think(!)

 

Minimum was 40 minutes but with at least 10 tracks.
