The only downside, is they seem to have cut back the main singles & albums chart back to a T40. :(

I don't know what to make of it tbh. -_- Regional charts, they only have Scottish, what about the Welsh or the Irish charts. And as for most of the other charts, i don't think that many people care about them. The only upside i think is the fact that you can now check out every UK chart top 40 from 1960, altho this is already available on the web as we all know. So in all i think it is possibly not as good as it was before but if they reinstate the top 100 on the singles & albums chart then it may be better then before ^_^

I want the old Top 100 back

The new site will only be brought to fruition if they bring back the top 100 - until then they've just added some pointless new features and taken away one of the only useful ones, thereby making it infinitely worse.

*Apart* from the rest of the top 100 going - which is obviously a big backwards step - I think it's a vast improvement.

(sorry for having such an extreme comparison, I can't think of anything else and I'm not trying to say what the OCC have done is as bad as Hitler :P)

I've actually emailed them regarding the top 100 singles and album charts, the more members emailing them the better to re-instate the top 100s.

In other words, it's absolutely nothing like saying that. I think you're trying to have your cake and eat it, there. Please be careful with such comparisons, I realise you didn't mean it like this but I did take offence initially at the suggestion that my saying I liked some aspects of the new OCC site was a bit like defending Hitler!

I think the revamp is quite cool. the only downside is the removal of the 41-100 singles and albums. i document the chart week for archive purposes and this was the only site i could find that showed it. im very disappointed by this. i hope they reinstate it as soon as possible.

Exactly, tbh I doubt even the number 1's on those charts sell hardly anything... Great to see Carrie Underwood in a UK chart if some form tho :wub:

Its a good idea to have the asian charts here to see what music asian artists and fans are making and buying. if its gonna be here permanently, will they be updating it weekly or monthly? the date shown on the site is all the way in december. surely more music has been made and bought since then
