From The Sun today:

 

FOREIGN workers have taken virtually every extra job created since Labour came to power, it was revealed last night.

 

Explosive figures show 98.5PER CENT of the additional vacancies have gone to immigrants.

 

The situation is worse in the private sector where there are 726,000 FEWER British workers than when Labour came to power.

 

The shock statistics smash PM Gordon Brown's "British jobs for British workers" pledge.

 

The figures show the UK workforce rose from 25.75million in 1997 to 27.42million at the end of 2009 - up 1.67million.

 

Over the same period, the number of workers born abroad rose from 1.92million to 3.57million - up 1.65million.

 

The figures show almost all the extra jobs were grabbed by foreigners.

 

In contrast, there were 23.85million UK-born workers in jobs at the end of 2009 - only 25,000 more than when Labour took office.

 

The number of British workers in private sector jobs has fallen dramatically.

 

The sector workforce has gone up more than 500,000 to 20.5million since 1997, but those born in Britain plunged 726,000 to 17.7million, while the number of foreign workers nearly DOUBLED from 1.5million to 2.8million.

 

 

Mr Brown was challenged about the figures yesterday during PM's Questions, but ducked the issue.

 

Shadow immigration minister Damian Green said the figures were a massive blow to the PM's credibility.

Then people wonder why people vote for the BNP, the only party to say they'll ban ALL IMMIGRATION.

All this shows is that Brits are lazy c**ts who would rather sit on their fat arses than work and that foreigners are hard working and not afraid of a hard days work

I feel amazed to find myself saying that I agree entirely with Craig.

 

There are so many faults with this article/viewpoint it's barely worth going into for fear of stating the obvious but I'll say that if all immigration was capped completely there'd be many hundreds of thousands of job vacancies with no takers whatsoever because the Brits simply don't want to do much of the manual labour and other unskilled jobs which immigrants take (and thank christ they do or the economy would be in a position much worse than it is now, and that's saying something).

 

Of course we all know Chris doesn't actually agree with this. However he gets his kicks I suppose...

How can this be down to the politicians? Surely it's the employers that employee these people.

 

Most British citizens are too lazy to work 40 hours a week.

I agree with this because it's the same here (I'm not calling British people "lazy c**ts" though :heehee:). People were all saying "they took our jobs!!!!" and I kept telling them that Irish people wouldn't have taken the jobs because they thought they were above working in Mcdonalds or cleaning office bathrooms. People give a lot of abuse to employers who employ "foreigners", but the reality is is that there were hardly any Irish, or in this case, British citizens who even applied for these jobs in the first place, so there's little competition!

There are many people on Jobseekers Allowance who DO want to work though but can't get jobs. Not all sit drinking cider all day and watching Jeremy Kyle. You can't say everyone's a layabout. Some are really actively seeking work. Let's say all immigration was stopped tomorrow then there'd be jobs for those people. Common sense really.

The Tories missed a trick at this election. If they'd announced, like the BNP, that they'd stop ALL IMMIGRATION without exceptions they'd be looking at a 200 seat landslide soon. In my area there are far more immigrants and non-whites than white people. On nearly every bus I go the white people are slagging off the foreigners, sometimes quietly and sometimes so they can hear. Not so much youngish people but middle-aged and elderly. Some are very bitter.
