I also hope Paul Burling and The Arrangement get through to the live final. Paul has perfect comedy timing - even when he being interviewed by Ant & Dec after his act finished he was still funny. The Arrangement also add a bit of humour to their act because the singer is barking mad and whilst they're very "G4" (opera versions of pop songs), I think these youngsters are much funnier as a whole.

Their singer just oozes charisma which suits the act perfectly. He isn't a great singer but he doesn't need to be because he's such a good performer.

Paul Burling is really quite FABULOUS. I hope he gets through over the average singers/dancers :wub:

I loved the comedian and The Arrangement, I hope they are the two acts who go through. Really happy the Arrangement sung part of 'Fight For This Love'. :heart:

To be honest The Arrangement left me underwhelmed this time around as the performance came across as too gimmicky for my own liking.

 

However, I fear if they are in the 2nd + 3rd place vote off they will get through.

My ranking:

 

Starburst- 5/10- Im just bored of groups like this now, they are all the same thing and I cant see the point of them going through if there just going to be put on first and stitched up

Chloe Hickenbottom- 7/10- She has a great voice, but it was forgettable and a bad choice of song

Phillip Grimmer- 3/10- Mildly amusing, but he shouldnt be called a dancer, he wasnt dancing!

Paul Burling- 9/10- I found that absolutely hilarious! :rofl: he needs to make the final- the first act to make me laugh for the right reasons! :lol:

The Arrangement- 8/10- I really liked this- very different and what this show needs, hope they get through :)

Jimmy Forde- 4/10- tbh for what its worth, it was amusing and mildly entertaining :lol:

Christopher Stone- 8/10- I was worried about him, but he did really well, looked much more confident and an improvement

Peridot- 7/10- again they are talented, but for once I agree with Piers and Amanda- they are nothing new and just look meh compared to Diversity

I still think Paul and Christopher would be the most likely- but I would like The Arrangement to get through too, I cant really call it :(

 

Pixie is the sex. Official. She's vastly improved live, so kudos for her getting the midweek spot on the show! :heart:

I think the night was to competitive- her and The Arrangement would've probably gotten through yesterday

 

plus her early performance slot didnt do her any favours

Totally agree with this. They weren't brilliant at all and showed their arrogance when one of the lads started going on about being compared to Diversity. What did he expect? They're great technically but they lack imagination.

 

Oh well, The Arrangement were still my second fave last night. Fantastic for Paul to get the public vote despite being on earlier in the show. I hope he wins purely for the sake of "variety". If another singer or dance act wins this years BGT then what exactly is the point of having a prize in connection with the Royal Variety Performance. So that's Chris Stone and Connected straight away I don't want to win. Even the dancing dog would ideally be a better winner. Problem for Simon is that a dancing dog just wouldn't work in a recording studio. :rolleyes:
