It seems the new single doesn't have much effect on the album sales. If the album doesn't sale during the pre-Christmas period it will quite underperform...

Ya i must admit that is kinds in my mind,as it stands aphrodite is in or around 185,000 -190,000 in the UK, she really needs to gain some of the high christmas market sales or otherwise i cant see it outselling x. I think the album will definitly make platnum in the UK but i would really like it to sell more and would also love to see it outsell X.

 

Does anyone else here think aphrodite could possibly struggle to outsell X???

If it gets the right push of christmas then it should be ok.

Hopefully and the other thing too i guess is after about another 5 weeks album sales will rise aswell and kylie should benefit from that.

In the long run, it'll outsell X. She has probably another 2 singles and the tour. They should help.

Aphrodite is at #41, 12 copies behind #40!

Ya hopefully it will sneak back in, get outta my way isnt heloing the albu that much at all, i was sure aphrodite would climb top 30 this week with get outta my way been on full release.

#41 on release of a new single week is pretty awful :( GOMW at #8 let's hope it at least can hang on in there!

#33 in the midweeks.

Should be safe for another week top 40 now which is good.

What are the current sales? everytime the chart runs are updated the sales stay the same, it keeps saying 169,000 for the UK but it has to be close to 200k by now.
