I really like it but I always think of it as an American focused release - I’m sure it started to take off in the clubs over there so they comissioned a ton of remixes and threw it out as a single.

Apologies only just sharing this now but only just got round to uploading it! Last weekend I saw Nerina Pallot do a special one off gig at the Royal Albert Hall to mark her 25th anniversary in music.

Decided to have full play of the album today which I have not done for a while it is a great summer listen to album.
Aphrodite is still one of my favourite Kylie albums. It’s a solid performance throughout featuring the epic ‘All the lovers’ single and I absolutely adore the cover. My big regret was that the record label didn’t push the album a lot harder. There was also talk of a potential reissue of the album at the time which never saw the light of day.
While its not Kylies best album i do love it as its a very consistant album which of course of the home of the mega fantastic all the lovers, i also adore the cover, its one of her very best.

15 years since Aphrodite Les Folies, probably Kylie's most ambitious tour in terms of production!

Loved this tour - always baffled me why the live album performed so badly (#72).

I remember buying it release week and can’t remember if there was any hype/build up to it or any problems release week that would have resulted in such a low entry.

I never understood why it did so badly either as i remember thinking that it would at least go top 40 so number 72 was a massive disappointment.

One of the songs in her set was her own version of the title track from this Kylie album that her and her husband Andy Chatterley wrote for it (along with "Better Than Today"):

Not an 11 year old thread being bumped when the album’s discussion thread is on page 1 of the AF kink

16 years on and still a great album that i still enjoy and look forward to the upcoming brand new vinyl of it.
