May 9, 201015 yr I would definitely say 'Girls' marked the beginning of the end for them, it caused Catfights to flop so hard and did about the minimum of what was expected from a Sugababes lead single at the time. You know when a song isn't popular when it's constantly used in those TV commercials yet still doesn't encourage anyone to download the song when they hear it. Look at Fyfe Dangerfield this week with 'She's Always A Woman' - then again, his cover of the song - imo - is actually very good. Sugababes just got lazy and recorded a cover of a song was already being used in a popular TV advertising campaign. I really hope JLS don't go to no. 1 with this monstrosity. Then again, judging by what's already been no. 1 in the UK with the faster moving charts we seem have gone back to 1999/2000 - loads of new no. 1s, more than half not exactly worthy of such status. 2008 was an excellent year for UK no. 1s - 20 in total, most of which were well and truly deserved.
May 9, 201015 yr Hardly anyone likes it  Even SweetDreams is sceptic and she's our resident JLS fan  I still think it's a surefire number 1 tho
May 11, 201015 yr After hearing this song, i am not ashamed anymore for liking some songs of NKOTB as i was 15  I would really like to see the faces of the people buying this single i ten years as they will discover it dusted  . I love Sound of music - JLS song is beyond kitsch . It is so bad that it would make LJS to deserve to flop on every other song they will bring. Edited May 11, 201015 yr by IrisAlbastru
May 11, 201015 yr Same  I was seriously obsessed with it when it was released. I don't think I've ever disliked a Gwen single though, even Luxurious  Same here actually! :o 'Luxurious' was a bit of a guilty pleasure. I'd say her worst was probably 'Now That You Got It - if that was a real single lol. Sorry for going a bit off topic. :teresa:
May 12, 201015 yr After Popjustice's review, I was afraid I could actually fall in love with them with this song, but big LOL to PJ. This is the $h!ttest piece of music I've heard in ages. And their voices, how comes we can't even recognize them? Straight to the bin.
May 12, 201015 yr I gave up to trust Popjustice long time ago. But i can trust that if they hype something, i won't like it

May 12, 201015 yr Popjustice has been tyring to backtrack on the JLS thread, claiming that it sounded better on first listen. They are supposedly doing a song with Jay Sean hopefully that will be better.

On first listen? I take it they weren't paying attention then and just assumed it was pop genius when the track finished. Then they wrote a review based on what they "heard" (ho-hum). Then they thought "oh, how does it go? I wasn't actually listening. Sorry". Alas, after a second play they get a sudden shock of reality. "Jeez, this is crap" :w00t:
May 12, 201015 yr This is just odd... they seem to have tried to pull a "Boom Boom Pow" with no real change in production for the chorus, minimalist beats etc. BBP was brilliant, and Usher's "OMG" shows that it is possible to make something similar-sounding while still making it seem original but this is poor... it just sounds cheap, I liked "Beat Again" (and "One Shot" before the TV killed it) but they really haven't delivered. Shame, I would have liked to have seen someone like Timbaland working with them.
May 12, 201015 yr I really don't think its as bad as people are saying, but thats just me haha Same here! i love this song, and i cant stand JLS, i kinda hate myself for liking this though <_< the only song i thought was bearable from them was One Shot and even that gets old quick. I hate that they are more successful than Burkey
May 12, 201015 yr i liked "Beat Again" but this sounds like Bart's boyband from one episode of The Simpsons, their songs at least had some melody Edited May 12, 201015 yr by SoManyOstriches
