IMO, it's all about being flipped off by a jelly baby.

Totally agree. This part is so good, it's worthy of a place in my signature

Katy Perry's new video for her summer jam "California Gurls" has viewers reminiscing not only about the childhood board game (and admitted Perry favorite) Candy Land, but the tinkling sing-song of neighborhood ice cream trucks and cupcakes and all kinds of summery, sugary treats.

However, despite the video's cheery feel, it does feature two otherwise friendly-looking, oversized Gummi Bears greeting Perry not with hugs and a hello, but with a rude hand gesture: The offending bear in question apparently gives the singer the finger.

Perry told MTV News that she likes to inject her own "naughty twist" into her work, but seeing that the rude gesture in question seems like unnatural behavior for Gummi Bears, we consulted well-known manufacturers Trolli and Haribo for comment on the bears in Perry's vid.

"Those are definitely not Trolli Gummi bears in the video because Trolli Gummi Bears would never be that rude," John Leonardo, senior brand manager of Farley's and Sathers (which owns Trolli), told MTV in a statement. "Trolli bears would extend their chubby little arms and give Katy a big old bear hug and whisper, 'Everything is going to be alright'."

Haribo had not responded to MTV News' request for comment at press time.

The Trolli bears certainly sound more affectionate than the ones features in "California Gurls" — and if Perry films a candy-themed follow-up video, she'll know where to turn for some traditional Gummi love.

This is the best video of the year and definitely Katy's best! I certainly can't think of a better one in 2010 so far; it's fun, sexy and like Katy said it's got her own naughty twists. Rude gummy bears and a bra that shoots whipped cream? What more could you want from a video? Plus I could just eat everything in it . If there was a video to propel a song to number one, this is it!
