Lena is  Germany must win Eurovision this year - I have proclaimed this in French in my sig!

If Satellite comes anywhere lower than 5th I'll be devestated :heehee:

She actually was VERY far from my favourite in that casting show we had to determine our ESC entry and I still think she cant sing too well but the studio version of the song is quite good. Too bad she has to sing live. :P

I even painted my toenaiTs for you

I did it just the other day…

Is it genuinely bad pronunciation, or just part of her style?

Her style, I think.

is this some kind of late april joke?

shame if it's real...I was so looking forward this contest hosted by you.

So was I. -_- It's all one big headache for me, with everything happening at the moment, and in 2 weeks I'll be returning to some college exam-ish things, so y'know, I can't be arsed with all this.

That's such a shame, this contest was yours to host, I really feel like you earned it  I promise that we weren't trying to jerk you around with this new voting procedure experiment...

If you'd still wish to host we're more than happy to help, if you'd need it?

Ghosty recieves so much hype even though not even participating yet :drama:

We're expecting a lot from you Ghosty! :P Bring on the good stuff! :cheer:

 No pressure at all! :P

I was toying with entering a metal song as my debut entry, but that may be a slight let down I'm thinking

You will be my new favourite country if you do!

Lena is indeed  and I look forward to her finishing 1 point behind Safura in the final :teresa: :kink:

With the rule changes and stuff, it's more hassle than it's worth, let's face it. I don't have a clue what's going on, and I'm supposed to, surely, if I'm supposed to host the contest.

Is it worth it though :heehee:

Probably not.

You'll have a clue once the decision's been made - stick it out for a day or two after, and if you really can't cope then we can pass over hosting duties to someone else if we need to. Does that sound alright?

BTW, it's standard for first time hosts to be scared - Aaron didn't have a clue what to do when he won in his debut contest! But he still pulled off one of the best presented contests to date in VII...

Aaron didn't have to introduce a brand new rule (permanent or not), that he doesn't agree with, when he hosted though, did he? Like I said, it's all too much of a headache for me, with everything that's going on (new points system, no semis, date changes). Is it really worth it?!

I don't have a clue because the mods have told me nothing, and have just gone ahead with everything rather rudely, without even asking if I minded testing out these experiments. Maybe you shouldn't have to, but at least you'd come across less rude and controlling.

I can't possibly see what's so complicated about hosting without semifinals? Sorry but it is. Reservation/confirmation as always -> creating final thread for every participant -> results (nothing new here). As long as you know how to read PM's and know basic arithmetics (e.g. 34+12=46) - you're good at hosting! :magic:

Sorry to hear this Rob but I can definitely see your reasons for doing so.

Our apologies :o I thought I'd done so but looking back I haven't :(

Aaron had to cope with introducing two semis with only half a day's warning that it was going to happen after everyone simultaneously agreed that there were far too many for one semi, all whilst we were still trying to work out if it would work properly or not! I'm sure you'd cope fine if you carried on...

Hopefully it will end up the other way round :P

watch them trail in 9th and 17th now :drama:

Although this wasn't the first time two semis was done of course, after BJSCII and my brilliant semi in BJSCV to get rid of three songs (most pointless decision I've ever made?)

I think part of Rob's reasoning is that he doesn't see a need for a change at all.

And I don't buy this whole "it's too complicated too outsiders" thing, both these new options are MORE complicated!
