So, McFly are due to release a new single quite soon it seems with the album almost completed. As some of you might already know they've been working with Taio Cruz and Dallas Austen for this album. It seems it will be something a little different for them.

 

Anyway, I did a little search and so I don't think this has been posted. I was just searching youtube and found this leaked track, so I was wondering what people think of it. Please remember its not finished, one of the members themselves comfirmed this on twitter. I think its quite easy to hear that its unfinished too.

 

Personally, I think it will sound really good when its finished but its not very original or spectacular. I do think it will become a single. It is very different from anything on their last album, Radio:ACTIVE. I do think this is a good step.

EDIT2: ANOTHER song has leaked. The band will not be happy. Not sure if I like this one, its sounds very boybandy but it might not be finished. No Danny singing again, too!

Yeah, its honestly nice to know that they're trying something different. I don't think Radio:ACTIVE quite worked. Apparently they're at least partly back with Universal too.

 

They actually scrapped an album too, I remember hearing they started recording in Australia early last year but they gave up on it.

 

EDIT: Also, I don't think the song above is one of the Taio Cruz ones, I think it was produced by Dallas.

Yeah, I especially liked Lies a couple of years ago, but like I said before I wasn't a massive fan of their last album. I actually think the way it was produced was the biggest problem. I'm glad they're using different producers this time.

I've always been a McFly fan, but I was disappointed by "Radio: Active". Hopefully they can come back with a great album, like their first three albums were.

It seems I wasn't the only one then! Once I got over the excitement of there being new tracks I realised how disappointed I was and I honestly haven't listened to Radio:ACTIVE for over a year.

I like McFly, they're a really decent pop group. Radio:ACTIVE was good but not enough for me to buy the actual album when it was released in shops, I just stuck with the free newspaper version (although I still plan on buying it at some point!!). Good to see they're trying new things too :)

I think 4 of the best songs were on the proper album rather than the free one - Lies, Down Goes Another One, Only the Strong Survive and The End.

I guess they have to release mroe songs about lying. It clearly does it for me.

I keep forgetting about the Heart Never ies because it was on the greatest hits album. Haven't listened to that song for ages. It had a nice video too.
