What the hell at Gettin' Over You? Decent song but hardly revolutionary, definitely feels like 5th single material - which it is, the addition of Fergie is hardly incredible enough that it should be a #1 hit :o Still, a dance #1 is always welcome in my book I suppose!

Firstly Gettin' Over You is a straight up dance song, I don't see how it 'qualifies' as anything else.

Doesn't the presence of Chris Willis & LMFAO give you a hint...?

Secondly, what the hell is it with you and hip hop/R&B? It seems as if whenever there's even the slightest presence of words that aren't sung you automatically hate it without considering the rest of it.

I sense that the above sentence is a trap - but basically you are right. IMO music should be about singing and/or playing instruments - if you can do neither, ISTM you should stuck to karaoke.

As to the 'slightest presence of words not sung' issue - if its a song I otherwise really like, e.g. Evacuate The Dancefloor, Crazy In Love, Umbrella, then I'll buy it, but use a music editor program to remove the rap part... :heehee:

OK, I'll admit I go sometimes go OTT with the rap-hating, but as tedious as others here find the constant repetition, you need to bear in mind I find the steady diet of rap in the chart equally boring.

The thing is, ever since I've been following music (which is longer than I care to mention :P ), I've always before been able to fathom the appeal of genres I personally haven't liked. In the case of rap though, I can't understand why it would appeal to anyone other than black youths?

[NB, that wasn't intended as a criticism of other's musical tastes, but a genuine question as to what about it appeals to others?]

PS, I'm quite willing to explain my own musical tastes, if anyone asks.

Hi there you pathetic excuse for a moderator thing. Just thought I'd let you know, I am removing myself from this site (despite the fact that you'll probably ban me anyway) because if you can't take the p*ss out of a cringeworthy post like that, then God help us all. I didn't write anything else because I didn't need to.. the whole thing was just sick inducing and not worthy of comment just an illustration. This forum now has too many rules, and you can't bash the stupid posts, then that's a step too far for me. Have fun deleting this message after 2 seconds or keeping it, I really don't care.

:) I bid you all farewell "I would never wish bad things, but I don't wish you well" :P

There goes another poster who added nothing substantial to the forum. Good riddance.

Grrr, i dont want gettin over you to be number one, its worthy of top 10 placing at the very best, not as good as memories impo...

on the other hand PIXIE RISE!

Just as well I have the YTD's, or I might be in trouble myself... :P

Aww lol. You're very important to the forum ^_^ The other poster did nothing but post smilie posts, or just slated everything -_-

Hi there you attention seeking little thing. Just thought I'd let you know...

:) I bid you farewell.

Thing, that's a bit improfessional even if i do say so myself. never lower yourself to there standards, makes you just as bad (:

OK, here's an iTunes related question :

Who has the most songs on their iPod?

Having only got mine yesterday, I already have 2,880 (16 Gb Nano). Of course, half of my record collection is on vinyl, so I can't do much with them.

I got my first iPod three years ago and it kept freezing, which is actually normal, but I didn't know any better at the time and repeatedly kept taking it back and getting a new one.

It may be down to the fact that u keep sh!@t music on your cheap little iPod thingie. :naughty:

7485 at this precise moment. 180gb so still only a quarter full!

My sister has like 4 thousand on her 80gb ipod, but there all crap, i have 1,967 songs but i usually ad 6 every 2 days and remove 4 (: because i hate having old songs on there, the oldest song i have on there is carry out, wich reminds me that need to go (:

Um, Chris Willis is a dance singer. I've only ever heard him on dance tracks.

Mmk, that's fair enough. I had assumed you were just hating a genre for the sake of it without any reasoning. It's slightly different if you can explain yourself.

Un-called for?!

Alicia is getting closer to #5, but she's got quite a way to go to reach #4 ^_^

You think *that's* old? I think my oldest song is from the 60's!

(Animals - House Of The Rising Sun)

Of course, if the Beatles songs were downloadable, I'd have loads of them on there.

The thing is, I don't understand why anxresi posted what he did. What's sick inducing about Alicia having a baby??!

Is that was he was referring to?

On another note, who thinks "Airplanes" will drop and then re-climb closer to its proper release? I'm hoping it holds steady or keeps climbing, although I should probably stop with the Poker face comparisons
