So, if Gettin' Over You sells 8,000 per day on iTunes & is on 60%, he'll be on about 6,500-7,500: Frisky should be on about 13,500-15,000. (So far today)

Frisky should get about 14,500-17,000 today. Multiply by 7, and he's on about 105-120,000; If he can keep this up all week.

In addition to your assumptions about the pop bars (you're taking it as 24hrs, it could be 48hrs), you're not taking into account the percentage of sales that Sunday accounts for, EP sales, how iTunes pre-orders for the EP will affect sales, in addition to sales from other sites.

It's a 24hr rolling chart, Gettin' Over You has sales from the last 24, Frisky has 22 (later release), I see the current pop. bars, calculate how much David should get per day, add the extra % for Frisky, I then take off 2hrs off sales for Guetta, as the sales week starts on a Sunday.

Thanks. :) That all makes sense then, but are you 100% sure it's non-weighted, proportional and 24 hours, or are you making an educated guess?

Very glad that Alicia is back  to #8, hopefully she'll keep rising. ^_^

Are you a mathematician :P

:manson: @ Frisky being #1...

I concur.

My first experience of this song was his live performance at Rihanna and I was basically like " THIS is his next single?!" through it all. That night I finally came around to "Pass Out" (I always liked the instrumental) but I'm not sure I'll ever get this. Another shockingly bad #1 for 2010.

On another note, I was surprised to see Rox hasn't released a single EP for "I Don't Believe", the album is out this week... (now)

I always adored that since I heard it in that Rimmel commercial that starred Sophie Ellis-Bextor, I struggled to find it anywhere but I'm glad I can now. A year and a half on.

Oh trust you! Actually, now that you mention it, it did sound awfully familiar when I heard it.

I'm disappointed she hasn't really taken off. Mind you, I was surprised to see her even get a Sound Of 2010 nod, I wasn't expecting much. "My Baby Left Me" is easily one of my songs of the year (though I technically heard it about November of last) can't wait to get the album, might be the first I purchase in a while!

It doesn't work that way - the total at the end of Monday will be something around 35% of the full week figure, if it follows the usual pattern - maybe 40% if it's very front-loaded.

More estimations - we know BoB sold ~60k 2nd week, so probably 50k or just under last week. Since Guetta only overtook him very late, he won't have sold much above 50k either.

Significant 'missing' songs from iTunes...

I just noticed that Robbie's 'Angels' has been missing since ~20th May - what's that about?

#35 now

Woo, keep going!

Gettin' Over You is now at 55%, so today (so far), he should be on about 2,000 + Frisky 3,500-4,000:

So APPROXIMATELY, the full total so far this week (the sales for Gettin' Over You today should help):

1. Frisky - 18,000

2. Gettin' Over You - 9,500

APPROXIMATELY
