I think she has to be Top 5 at least sometime Tomorrow for a shot at Top 10.

Haven't watched the show yet but I saw the performance of Miley on YT. A very good performance actually!

As much as I despise Miley Cyrus, she's another non-urban entry in the iTunes top 10 and that should count for something. I still consider "Gettin' Over You" a full dance song so that makes 2 non-urban entries now.

I'm hardly her biggest fan but I really think she's done good this time, she gave a good performance and it's a good song considering the absolute guff she's released for her last few singles.

As much as I despise Miley Cyrus, she's another non-urban entry in the iTunes top 10 and that should count for something. I still consider "Gettin' Over You" a full dance song so that makes 2 non-urban entries now.

 

Maybe you should purchase the single to help get her higher ;)

LOL @ people claiming they're supporting Miley now cause her new single is actually good. Who the hell are you guys kidding? Have you even HEARD Miley previous singles? Can't be Tamed is the EXACT SAME LEVEL of quality as See You Again, Party in the USA, etc. In fact, CBT is produced and writen by the same people who produced most of her albums. Such a joke. You guys are supporting Miley now and weren't supporting her then not because her music changed (it didn't AT ALL. Her image did, not her songs) but because, until today, you were looking at her with extreme prejudice. Plain and simple.

 

I don't think this one is anywhere near as good as Party In The USA or See You Again.

Me too, to be honest. Party in the USA was much catchier and had a much better overall production. No wonder it did so much better in the US in comparision to her new song (which is good too).

Miley has been very much hit and miss with me. She either does amazing songs or complete crap!

Do you really think Start All Over was better than The Climb, Party in the USA, When I Look at You, etc? Oh well, that's your opinion. Still, liking 3 of her singles is actually quite substantial since she didn't had that many.

 

Honestly though, I don't get the hate for Party in the USA. It's a catchy fun song, a TYPICAL Dr. Luke (TiK ToK, Hot and Cold, California Gurls, etc etc etc) song. Start all Over and Fly on the Wall, THOSE were weak singles in my opinion.

Seriously though, she's given everyone else too much of a headstart to be T10 on Sunday. If she can maintain momentum through next week though...

Regarding Miley (or should I say Destiny Hope Cyrus - her actual name :o) I think you're right. The curve on iTunes is perfect and Miley could easily leapfrog to #5 (pushing Alicia down) but I the top 4 are really ahead.

 

This deserves to be her first top 10 imo. The Climb is her other great song. The rest are meh imo.

 

 

she has actually changed her name officially to Miley Rae Cyrus now :)
