 I love the way she blogged that. So excited now. That Caribbean rapper's name is Laza and is releasing his album in the US,in turn SWY sounds perfect for a release in the US I think it will do well it has like a Rihanna ft. Sean Paul - Break It Off vibe to it... <3

me too, i really cant wait :D Laza Morgan is great, love his songs.

Is it going to be Alexandra Burke ft. Laza Morgan for the single release, does anyone know?

I love this song now. I think it's fantastic. I've not really heard anyone talk about it, in real life though, but it's already getting a lot of airplay. I hope it gets number-one.

And I love the instrumental in the rap section! If I were Alexandra, I'd get the whole song remixed with that instrumental.

The release date is too far they should push it forward to the 8th or 15th...

Or better than changing the release date, give us the video! :drama:
There is no way the video release date, the actual release date, the promo or anything will go smoothly this is Syco after all.

This is Alexandra - not Leona.

Alexandra has had really good scheduling with this campaign: 3-4 months between singles, music videos released quite a bit in advance and very good promo (2 XF slots, SYTYCD, Royal Variety, Cheryl Cole's Night In, POG show, Dancing On Ice, Jonathan Ross etc).

For 'Start Without You', I'd recommend that Alex should get a slot on Alan Carr, GMTV, This Morning, ***'s 5 o'clock Show amongst other things. The video needs to be out by the end of July (30th is the most likely date imo). The release date should be moved to August 15th/16th.

Really hating this!!! :(

Such a shame because her last 3 records have been good!

I'll sit this one out and wait for 'The Silence' :)

You are kidding right nothing went right for All Night Long. The Silence was abandoned at the last minute, Pitbull was added, the release date changed, the video was late, the album version was removed from itunes.Fair dues the promo was great and Alex was lucky that commercial radio and the video channels really supported her but Syco were rubbish as per usual.

Not sure what is happening with Leona it would be a shame if we had to wait until October for the return of X-factor to see her back again.

they got it so wrong with Leona, i cant wait for her 3rd album. i'm glad they are taking there time with Alex though,

SyCo have messed some things up, but they've handled Alex's career quite well so far. Bad Boys was handled perfectly, Broken Heels was for the most part, and All Night Long went on to be a top 5 hit.

I think some people just like to blame SyCo for everything. Yes, they got the lead single for Echo wrong - but that doesn't make them completely incompetent. There were no lead singles on Echo, apart from Can't Breathe, which was recorded too late to be the lead single. I never would have chosen Happy as the lead single, but everything else on the album probably would have had the same fate as it.

How can you complain that the video was late AND that the release date was pushed back?

Alex wanted the video to be at it's best so that's why it took a long time to edit. 'The Silence' was rightfully abandoned - without an XF performance it has no hope of being a commercial success. But I agree that the deletion of the album version of ANL and the Pitbull inclusion were ridiculous and unnecessary.

The video was released 20 days (3 weeks) before the physical release which is damn good imo. You don't want to kill the momentum beforehand.

The 'I Got You' campaign was far more ridiculous - even to the extent of the song itself ('Outta My Head', 'Naked', 'Can't Breathe' anyone?). The video was released a mere 10 days before the physical release also.

Leona suffers far more due to Syco's inefficiency than Alexandra.

There were 5 months between BL and BIT. Between BIT and FM there was an 8 month gap. 'Take A Bow' was never released. The momentum was killed in America. 'I Will Be' was released over there instead of 'Forgive Me'. Don't even get me started on the 'Echo' campaign. <_<

TBH they made a good move by abandoning The Silence it was getting old and the new version of All Night Long is what made it a hit IMO. I really hope if they are still going to release The Silence that they release a new version of it or Alex releases a whole new ballad altogether cause after the new SWY and the album being almost a year old by when The Silence is planned for release, I honestly don't see it being that big of a hit.

i think Echo did alright over here. 630,000 copies is great.

Yeah it did and it sold 1.5 million copies worldwide but it could have done far better with better management. Syco were lucky that Leona has a huge fanbase.

The fact that 'Perfect Stranger' and 'Scene of the Crime' didn't make the album still annoys me.

Anyway, Alex even said herself the video is going to drop very soon. At the end of June she filmed it and tweeted that it's going straight in for editing. Two weeks later...
