August 24, 201014 yr Sounds like a Boney M record. I suppose performing in her underwear will help sales. You're not the only one that thinks this. One of the radio presenters on BRMB says the same whenever he plays the song. First Poker Face, now this.
August 25, 201014 yr Patrick Kielty on R2 mentioned it to Alex on Sat during an interview and played both songs, it was very funny.I wonder f Boney M are still togeather. http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00th8ft
August 25, 201014 yr When is this released? seems like I heard it years ago  6th September Just less than 2 weeks
August 29, 201014 yr Alex has performed in Ireland, Sweden and Poland the past week yet needs more UK promotion for this song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N5rbPrfLX0s
August 29, 201014 yr This is sooooooooooooooooo going to get to number one. Although i love drummer boy, I hope start without you debuts at no. 1 with sales of at least 130,000 with drummer boy behind with sales of roughly 110,000  You are joking right?! Not one song has managed to get to #1 with those amount of sales this year except 'Everybody Hurts', neither of those songs, especially 'Drummer Boy' won't reach over 100,000 sales in their first week.
August 30, 201014 yr Like some other people, I too think that it sounds like Boney M's 1979 No.3 Hit - 'It's A Holi-Holiday'. And the Boney M Hit always reminded me of the 'Popeye The Sailor Man' Song.....As well as 'Hi-Ho - It's Off To Work We Go', from the Disney Film - 'Snow White'.
August 31, 201014 yr  You are joking right?! Not one song has managed to get to #1 with those amount of sales this year except 'Everybody Hurts', neither of those songs, especially 'Drummer Boy' won't reach over 100,000 sales in their first week. Errr Replay 103,000 California Gurls 123,000 Dynamite 108,000 Okay maybe I was being a little optimistic with 130,000. Realistically, I'd say SWY's first week sales will be around around 90,000. I still think it will get to #1 tho.
August 31, 201014 yr Yeah I can see this going to #01 ... probably a flash in the pan #01, but still it'll get there I reckon.
August 31, 201014 yr Author It's got to the status of everybody I know singing to it now. It's going to be big I think. Bigger than people think, I think...
September 1, 201014 yr Yeah I can see this going to #01 ... probably a flash in the pan #01, but still it'll get there I reckon. eels It will not go to number 1. I can see it having the same success as Broken Heels
September 2, 201014 yr Considering the care, quality and attention to detail this release has been handled with, where can we realistically see Start Without You peaking in Ireland and here?Big release week coming up next week with some really good acts The Script, Linkin Park, McFly, Justine, Robyn and Alesha.

Neither of those songs have managed to reach 130,000 sales in a week, like I said in my original post.
September 5, 201014 yr eels It will not go to number 1. I can see it having the same success as Broken Heels Well I can see it having better success than "Broken Heels" and become a top 5 if not a no.1 hit.
September 5, 201014 yr Had a flying start but the promotion this week is not great not sure why, really pleased that it is at 9 after such a poor campaign it is very surprising. Alex will be on Daybreak on Tuesday, R2 with Steve Wright and signing CD copies at G-A-Y on Wednesday, BBC Breakfast on Thursday and weekend performances at G-A-Y and Help for Heroes, I am sure the Daily Mail will have something to say about that.

Well thats great promo for next week then ^_^ but she should also promote on a talk show like alan carr. But im happy anyway for the next weeks promo as it'll boost the sales of her single alot and the cd signing at g-a-y should help the physicals sales alot.
