It's absolutely wonderful to see Vera Zvonareva in the final, I remember watching the 2008 YE Championships and thinking she'd finally overcome her troubles, this was backed up by a SF in Australia - but then just as she reached a career high of #5 it all went wrong for her and she really slipped off the radar, so it's wonderful to see such a talented player finally making her first grand slam final and I really hope she can make a match of it - because I don't think she'll get many more chances to win a major title, to add to the one she took at Indian Wells in 2009.

Yeah, but she controlled herself really well in the SF, there were a few moments I thought she was going to lose it, but she really managed herself well - she's made it 6 rounds without freaking out - here's hoping she can make it 7 :P
Berdych the first finalist knocking out Djokovic in straight sets :o He could be a real threat to whoever goes through from Murray and Nadal. Really solid form at the moment.
Come on Nadal. Reckon it's his title this year! :cheer:

Murray didn't do too badly today, shame he came up short - still, let's not forget he still has a decent chance at the hardcourt grand slams :P

And making it to consecutive Wimbledon SFs isn't bad for a player of his age.

I'm hoping Berdych and Zvonareva take the titles, but - like most people - I expect the opposite :P

The Ladies singles final starts at 2pm and will begin on BBC1 but viewers will have to switch to BBC2 before the end probably as the football will be on BBC1. They've promised to stay with the tennis final for "as long as possible before Continuity will tell viewers to switch to BBC2"

I doubt the ladies singles will go on for too long. I reckon it'll all be over in two sets.

Nadal has got no hope in America with his knees, unless he doesn't play much tennis before the US Open but then he may make an early exit. I think we could be seeing another Murray/Federer final is the draws allow it of course, otherwise a Murray/Djokovic one.
