I was never overrly bothered with Misfits when it orginally aired, I saw bits and pieces and thought it was allright and just left it at that. Saw the first episode a few nights back on Channel 4 and im hooked :( Im slowly working myself through the episodes on youtube as we speak.

As far as UK shows go though, nothing beats the amazingness that is Being Human :wub:

Oh yes, I forgot about that! Although I missed all of series two thanks to uni. :( Should catch up with it really ...

I don't know that I have 10 favorite shows since I do not watch that much TV, but one show I really enjoy is HawthoRNe. It airs on TNT Tuesday nights at 9/8c. I heard about this through the marketing company that I work for.

The show stars Jada Pinkett Smith (The Matrix trilogy) as Christina Hawthorne, a Chief Nursing Officer, and her medical team as they battle on the front lines of a war against declining patient services and hospital budget cuts.

Look for full episodes on HawthoRNe's site.

I agree that US TV show truly have taken television to a totally new level in the last 10-15 years with the sheer quality of the scripts. Show like the West Wing and The Wire in terms of intelligent writing, acting, originality and breaking new ground are in a totally different league to anything elese. I always have huge sympathy for people I know who constantly complain about how crap TV is yet just watch the utter drival that are British soaps (granted I do still watch EE from time to time if its good but to even compare soaps to seriously brilliant US dramas and thrillers is so laughable it's not even funny :lol: ) - talk about missing out on all the groundbreaking shows there has been - Band Of Brothers for example was simply remarkable television and breathtaking stuff. So many Hollywood stars, many of whom have won Oscars are now the stars of big US TVat shows due to the enormous rise in quality of the past decade. There are many of the American show that have overtaken films - for example compare the brilliant legel drama 'Damages' staring Glenn Close with the multiple Oscar nominated George Clooney film 'Michael Clayton' - Damages easily surpases it on so many levels and is completely gripping. And although alot of people may of gotten sick of them both Lost and 24 at their best are easily up there with some of the finest films ever made when it comes to being glued to the screen and being addictive. Many shows in the past have been entertaining but the real difference in US shows in the past decade above many things is the level of intelligent scripts and challenging the viewers. The Wire is probably the perfect example of that.

Anyway of all time this would have to be my top 10 -didnt include Band Of Brothers as it is a Mini Series.

1. 24

2. Father Ted

3. Frasier

4. The West Wing

5. Lost

6. The Wire

7. Damages

8. The Soparnos

Honorable mentions to Dexter, Curb Your Enthusiasm, Six Feet Under, Prison Break (season 1 and 2 only) and 'In Treatment' which I have only just started watching and it is truly excellent.

Nicely put, and nice to see some more Damages love, I'm devasted it's increasingly looking like it's going to be cancelled. I really want to watch In Treatment, I've heard nothing but good things.

4 Supernatural

5 Lost

6 Doctor Who

7 True Blood

8 The Vampire Diaries

05. Futurama

06. Family Guy

07. Big Bang Theory (used to be #1, this show's gone down hill (n))

08. Waterloo Road (another show that's gone to the dogs, mainly because of a 20 episode series being dragged out over 9/10 months ;p)

09. The Apprentice

10. Doctor Who

Honourable mention to:

11. Glee (the only show I can think of that showed a ridiculously sharp quality decline in the space of one series :P)

I absolutely agree. I don't even catch up with last episodes of season three now, it's gone uber $h!te, i can't believe a show can experience such downfall.

The only UK series I really LOVE at the moment are Skins and Misfits. Well, Skins has gone to $h!t now (the first two series were amazing, and parts of three too) but Misfits is amazing, really good acting and storylines too. The first episode is a bit iffy but it's all very strong from then on.

Misfits <3 I can't wait for the next series, if they are to happen :o

Saw Skins' first 5 minutes of first episode and it was LOL, it's on my 'to watch' list :D

Doctor Who is the best British TV show by FAR :wub: Survivors were also good but too dramatic for my liking (here: continuous watching).

Can't think of any other shows bar Gavin and Stacey tbh :( :lol:

1. Lost

2. Flight of the Conchords

3. The Inbetweeners

4. Peep Show

08. American Dad!

09. Alias

10. Waterloo Road

I just can't believe it's possible that a show can have such an amazing first 2 series' and then just go to being one of the most unwatchable things on TV :S.

I think the mistake was cutting out all the interactions between the 5 main characters as a group.

I watched series 1 and 2 in like three days, the show was that amazing. But season three is just crap, as far as i remember they started dating in season 3? If so i think - this might be a mistake. Plus they really accent on Sheldon in practically every episode which led to overkill, for me at least. Previous series were about each and every character almost equally plus Penny and Leonard weren't dating so it was twice as fun.

01 || Bones.

02 || Charmed

03 || Will and Grace

04 || Gilmore Girls

05 || Gossip Girl

06 || Alias

07 || CSI:NY - Very pissed off the actress that plays Stella has quit. She's my favourite character.
