I honestly dont mind the football songs invading the chart, and I am not a football fan at all- as long as their good, Waving Flag is a great song, plus Three Lions, Vindaloo and World In Motion are classics

 

Its a shame Shout has to ruin it, but theres always going to be one football song that is awful- as Doctor Blind has posted, at least this is better then the 2006 world cup which had Tony Christie, Crazy Frog and Embrace which were all just dire (whos Stan Boardman :unsure: )

I appreciate that Ben but there have been countless occasions where this thread has descened into a Rihanna, Alexandra Burke, Lady Gaga etc love in that has had nothing to do with iTunes or the charts where anyone who dares to have a negative opinion on said artist would be roundly attacked.

It depends on how that hatred is expressed. But I agree there are some fans, that go too far with their love...

I actually agree with that.. Very often when Alexandra, Lady GaGa etc.. release a new video/song itunes thread gets converted into a thread about them.. Nice to have a change for once

 

Wow football songs are taking over.. I don't mind though.. Love football :D.. Just annoying that Frisky won't get to number 1 now.. A few weeks ago looked like a clear number 1

Terry Venables is a former football player and manager, James Corden is an actor and I don't even know what The Squad are. None of those are "artists", and none of them are relevant! They are just loads of football songs because the World Cup is on. As soon as England are kicked out, they'll drop like a stone. Hardly songs by "relevant artists" are they? Otherwise they'd be hanging around for ages.

 

I visit this forum for actual music, not a stupid football craze, that will disappear in a few weeks.

To be fair with you this thread has turned being unofficial buzzjack chat about news, new videos, relevant events etc. It's not a bad thing for me, I like this thread because of this. Sometimes (well, quite often :lol: ) some people here go too far in their loving/hating/'offtopping'.

Katy Perry still has a chance for number 1- but the other two dont and will probably only get top 3 at best
