June 11, 201015 yr UviBTw7Vjno Loved the South African goal. What England footballer can a goal like that? Edited June 11, 201015 yr by Ricky
June 12, 201015 yr South Korea - Greece 2 - 0 :cheer: waiting for Argentina - Nigeria now  my top 3 faves for winning the WC in my siggy :kink:
June 12, 201015 yr Author France are utterly hopeless. They'll qualify of course (only just) but for all the good players they have, tactically they're abysmal. For one of the most successful football teams of the past 15 years or so they're definitely living off past glories. Just goes to show what a difference one player (Zidane) can make to a team.
June 12, 201015 yr South Korea absolutley dominated Greece who, like France, were just a complete shambles tactically. COME ON NIGERIA
June 12, 201015 yr Greece were very poor against S Korea. On that form, they'll be going home with no points.
June 12, 201015 yr Argentina looking great to me. Team to beat maybe, despite everyone saying that's Spain?
June 12, 201015 yr Nope, I still can't see Argentina being a real threat. They're good going forward, but they couldnt convert their best chances there, and when they do go forward they leave alot open at the back which against better opposition could easily foil them.
June 12, 201015 yr South Koreans match was a bit of a hit and miss, but they lead the group, Greece really fell to pieces. As for the Argentinians it was the best match I've seen so far, Argentinians had at least 5 near misses, Nigerians tried to come back at them in the second half with a few chances, but missing the net.
June 12, 201015 yr Argentina looking great to me. Team to beat maybe, despite everyone saying that's Spain? Only people in Europe think Spain. Brazil are the favourites.
June 12, 201015 yr Only people in Europe think Spain. Brazil are the favourites. They are certainly my (ahem) tip to win. Still I thoroughly enjoyed the Argentina v Nigeria match.
June 12, 201015 yr Nigeria goal keeper was amazing. Didn't think Argentina were as convincing as they could have been after their goal but still a good game.
June 12, 201015 yr World Cup Winners Betfair.com (Win only odds) Spain 4/1 Brazil 5/1 Argentina 6/1 England 7/1 Netherlands 9/1 Germany 14/1 Italy 16/1 France 28/1 Portugal 33/1 66/1 Bar
June 12, 201015 yr I think Argentina played ok but still needs to grow a lot as a team. Nigeria's goalkeeper was amazing!
June 12, 201015 yr Actually looking at the groups, England need to win the group or else they face Germany in the next stage as Germany will easily win their group with Ghana, Australia and Serbia, got a funny feeling Serbia will end up Runner's Up from Group D, England could meet Serbia in the next stages. If they want an easier option, they are better off playing Australia, but that will never happen.
June 12, 201015 yr Argetina had TOO many misses today! need to step up a bit and they can win the whole thing!
June 12, 201015 yr I wonder why Argentina didn't have four defenders until the end of the game (Di Maria->Burdisso). Gutierrez is not a defender at all. At this level, you must have a good defence. Also, Argentina's midfield is too weak compared to their attackers and the quality of Spain's mf for example. I predict semi-final stage for ARG. Nigeria played very well imo and their gk was very good. They might go surprisingly far in the tournament. I love Maradona..When you can't have Mourinho, have the second best (media-darling, that is)

Even when Jonás Gutierrez is an amazing player, he was completely lost in that pseudo-defender position. And the midfield should've done much much better considering it has good enough players like Veron and Mascherano, but it was quite weak today.
June 12, 201015 yr UviBTw7Vjno Loved the South African goal. What England footballer can a goal like that? Gerrard, Lampard, Rooney have scored many goals like that for club and country.
June 13, 201015 yr Algeria 0 Slovenia 0 half time, if the score stays goal-less USA and England are top 2
