Dannii Minogue mentors the boys, indluding Aiden Grimshaw, Matt Cardle and Nicolo Festa, Cheryl Cole has the girls - Cher Lloyd, Katie Waissel and Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Cowell backs the groups, FYD, Belle Amie and 1 Direction, while Louis Walsh looks after the Over 28's category of John Adeleye, Mary Byrne and Storm Lee. Dermot O'Leary is on hand to deal with the war of words.

 

 

I'm still uncertain though ... didn't someone say that four from each category would go through to the finals?

and yeah there was rumours about a top 16, but obviously was just false, which is a shame..

no its 100% 3 go through if 4 go through that means be 16 which means extra 4 weeks of live shows which will end in january wouldnt work would it? so 100% 3 from each group as long as cher goes through am not too interested in who else haha

They could eliminate two in a week though....so if they wanted to they could finish at the same time they always have. It just means they'd be eliminating two for the first four weeks.

If the two newly formed groups go through to the live stages, they're gonna have a big advantage on the other contestants. Each member of the two groups already had "a bit" of a fanbase, people got to see each of them performing through the auditions, etc. It's quite clever and I feel like they did it because Simon knew he would get the groups, so he wanted to make sure he would get potential winners. I wouldn't be surprised if the male group - if they go through to the live stages - ends up in the top 3.

Why didn't Katie Waissel keep her brunette hair! She looks quite nice in this.

I find Katie really annoying, she has an alright voice but its not special.

So we're probably getting half an hour of introductions and a group performance. 1 Hour of performances + feedback etc of the final 12 and then an hour of adverts? (Maybe with a performance by the guest judge too... :P)

 

What on Earth can they do with all that time when so much of it is wasted on Introductions and adverts anyway?

I think the surprise will be more ad breaks than usual :P

 

seriously though, I think that wildcard thing just wont work, as that would mean it would finish later and the winner wont get a chance at Christmas number 1, the only way it would work is if there were two double evictions or a triple- cant see it working

Im really surprised Cheryl didnt pick Gamu as she gave a great performance last week, especially in favour of Katie, unless she messes up on sunday and Katie does brilliant

Cheryl made the wrong decision last year too. Ethan and Duane really should have been through instead of Rikki and Lloyd

I think the 'surprise' that was spoken of for this weekend's extra long show is the wild card that everyone's suggested and she ... and others will be back. I'm not sure if it was a mistake by the idiots presenting Daybreak either ... but I'm certain when they were talking to Sharon Osborne this morning ... the word '5' was mentioned ... not '3'. Wouldn't be surprised if we find TreyC in too ... she was mysteriously overlooked last year.

 

 

I expect all will be revealed on Saturday.
