Keri Hilson saw Cher's audition;

Keri Hilson I tweeted link to @iamCherLloyd on XFactor earlier...finally watched! She def turned her lil 16 y.o. swag on AND Simon liked? I approve!

:wub: I hope she's as good as people on here/Keri says she is!

Two great minds etc... :drama:

That small clip has made me quite interested in his album, sounds like the Tedder trademark sound but updated with the little electro blips at the end!

so it wasn't just me then, i heard it and thought omg a new joe track! i was waiting for one to appear actually, to get the buzz starting for the new album. i quite liked the sound of it.

Just catching up:

Storm Lee: REALLY GOOD! Where did that come from?! :mellow:

Elesha Moses: Why did she only get one of those tiny snippet things? :( She sounded pretty great!

Liam: S'alright. More of a Michael Buble tribute act as opposed to having his own sound/identity.

Will edit this when I've heard the other people.

I think everyone knows what I think of Cher!

WOWOWOWOWOWWOWOWOW! I'm in LOVE! :wub:

Loved Cher and Liam, Storm was pretty good too,

and them 2 girls at the end lmao!

There was something about Cher though. She has this really charming quirky nature about her - completely different to Diana Vickers. She's actually like an RnB Diana Vickers so we have:

Leona = big ballads

Alexandra = disco pop

Diana = indie pop

Cher = RnB pop

They all tick different boxes, and I'm aware Diana wasn't a winner but she's still got her own style. Cher could go a long way whether she wins or not.

I reckon that Shirlena will be this years Jedward, all this press coverage of her seems a bit convinient and now Simon's getting a 2nd opinion? Hmmm ... reckon there'll show an episode where she's brought back in a 'shock twist' and makes the live stages. :P

Cher is by far the best so far this series imo :wub: Treyc is my 2nd fave, I loved her last year, she had better get to the Live Shows this year to make up for it.
I absolutely LOVED Cher! She was amazing! Easily my favourite audition so far. During it I thought Simon was going to stop her since I wouldn't think he approved of the song! Glad he didn't though, brilliant :wub:
"Who are you" so true, I hate Natalie Imbruglia, don't know what goes on in Simon's head sometimes ;)

How can you hate her?! :o

Natalie did not deserve that, vile pair of chavs.

Brillant episode last night again :wub:

The X Factor is more entertaining than ever :cheer:

Anyone who loved Cher's audition...buy Keri Hilson's album.

Yes, for an X Factor audition it was 'new', 'exciting' and all that but this style will never be replicated on a show like this. She didn't really add anything to the song she did. I'm guessing the excitement surrounding her is because about 95% of the viewers will have never heard the song before and a similar number had no idea who Keri Hilson is. She already does, and has done, it better.

I suppose this is one thing that annoys me about the X Factor. Last week were all amazed by how soulful Anastacia (?) was and now we're impressed by a girl with a bit of swag, as if we don't already have (underappreciated) artists like this. Cher won't win anyway, this show is all about females who do big ballads and pretty boys with acceptable voices.

No X Factor next year until 2012 :o with a brand new format

Source: NOTW newspaper, not sure how true it is.

At least we have a decent Xmas #1 single :thumbup: Apparently US X Factor starts in the new year.

The thing about Cher is she was different compared to the type of people that audition for the show

Yes she was an average singer, but as cheesy as it sounds.. She has the whole "package"

I'd much rather have someone like her do well than.. than the typical singer with no personality singing ballads

A lot of my friends were surprised even to hear she was singing a Soulja Boy song.. as its not really the type of song you would sing on the show

Soulja Boy actually tweeted the video yesterday and he has over 2,000,000 followers :o

I think a lot of people her age/fans of that type of music will relate to her

I hope they don't try and change her, but I guess its pretty obvious they will. Simons probably already thinking of ways to turn her into a "Mini Cheryl"

Shes definately my favourite so far and I hope she does well in the competition

Oh & for any Cher fans.. Shes on This Morning tommorow at 11am

I still don't get the Cher bumming having seen a repeat of the show

Very average voice, wacky personality but that was probably down to nerves as much as anything else, being young and infront of a camera for the first time infront of 15m can turn people a bit hyper

I don't see any winning potential in her as she hasn't got a strong enough voice plus the majority of people that vote on X Factor are teenage girls and pre teen girls and they can be a bit bitchy about a successful girl their age and she is not cute enough to get the granny vote so I see her going in week 4 or week 5 or something

Plus much as I like Cheryl it will be boring as f*** her getting the winner 3 times running and she has the girls this year

This isn't a dig at you but I hate people with that attitude, who cares which f***ing judge wins, it doesn't really matter! It's all about the contestants .... although this is The X Factor we're talking about so you could be mistaken.

Every year it has been a boy or girl so I would like to see change and see a group win or someone over 25 (28 this year I think :unsure: )

It has been a pretty average crop this year tbh really, there is only 2 that have totally blown me away Mary and a girl I can't remember the name of who did an incredible version of Creep on Xtra Factor, those are the only 2 this year that have seriously impressed me

Yeah it would be nice to see a decent group win, but I don't think that'll happen coz it's harder for them to relate to the public I think - especially girlgroups which jealous little girls vote out immediately despite how good they actually are, just look at Miss Frank last year for proof.

I haven't been particularly blown away by anyone so far either, Cher was the best for me coz she was original and different from the usual which made her stand out. Oh and I loved the woman who sang 'She Said' too .... I'll wait til the later stages to see though.

Rebecca from Dublin has joined a girlband also. Don't know how true it is, we'll see soon enough! ^_^
