No, that belongs to Cheryl Cole's 'Fight For This Love' as far as I know. :)

I doubt so. :P She was climbing very quickly but it took a bit longer to get to #1 for her than for Alex just for one simple reason: when Cheryl was released, Alex popbars were still huge and while Alex was storming the chart, there wasn't any of strong competition.

I still think she got to #1 before Alex did. I remember Cheryl was already #4 only 10 mins after being added...

I like califorrnia guuls cos its really really really catchy and fun to blast out as ma bezzies and me play with each other in our bedrooms

Best post of the day. :heehee:

I expected Katy to be #1 by now it seems to be chugging along very slowly

You're right. Cheryl got to #1 an hour or so before Alex IIRC.

Too much information.

Let's not forget, Fight for This Love and Bad Boys were on iTunes pre-order. Katy wasn't. I just really don't get the comparisons.

I'm pleased for Katy Perry :D

Just watched the video. Anything that has candy floss, gummi bears that give you the finger and bras made out like cream cakes gets my vote :heehee:

Not everyone likes the same as you, so do not roll your eyes :P

#07 :w00t: It could do similarly to like 4 Minutes, if you get me, that it was doing quite well on hype, and with the video just starting to get airplay.

I don't think we were comparing them. It all started from that Diana thing.

Katy's doing incredible for someone who isn't an XF act and has no video airplay atm - the video has just come out afterall.

Hi Six,

The video has been getting massive airplay. Just seen it 5 times in the past hour and it's the Box VIP Track Of The Week.

K'naan has got a huge lead, Katy has got a lot of ground to make up

Thats true it is on too much already, hope her sales are heavily front-loaded.Really hope K'naan can hold on it would be great for him to get a No 1 in the official charts.

TEAM K'NAAN ALSO.

Pre-orders are for the single packages, therefore they are charting in the Itunes album chart. Doesn't make a change on how fast or slow a track climbs on Itunes.

I'm not worried about Katy anyway, hopefully she makes it to #1. I'm more worried about the Scissor Sisters :(
