Posted June 19, 201015 yr YPVjRDJyLWs Only in LQ at the moment but I imagine it's going to be big. Gotta hand it to them, they've got some great sounding girls singing the hooks - I think it could be Jodie Connor again but I'm unsure at the moment.
June 19, 201015 yr The audio video of "Green Light" on Roll Deep's official YouTube has Jodie Connor as a tag, so I imagine it is her
June 19, 201015 yr Sounds pretty good! :o Not as good as 'Good Times' on first listen, but I'm still impressed.
June 21, 201015 yr Really loving this. I agree it's not as good as 'Good Times', but it's going to be hard to create ANOTHER song of the year :heehee:, but it's still pretty great. Should be big. Not another number 1, but another top 5 for sure at least.
July 16, 201014 yr Video embedded in first post, but here you go: YPVjRDJyLWs Brilliant follow-up to 'Good Times', although it's still nowhere near as good, but it's still pretty great.
July 16, 201014 yr Seriously addicted to this already. I probably like it just as much as Good Times for different reasons. The chorus isn't quite as good but the bassline is so much better  They've now produced three amazing mainstream rap songs in their career - The Avenue, Good Times and this. Looking forward to the new album whenever they release it. Who's the female singer? She looks like Estelle, Beverley Knight and Keri Hilson all rolled into one
July 16, 201014 yr I don't think this is as good as Good Times, but I really like it. It deserves a lot of success.
July 16, 201014 yr They're getting alot of stick for "selling out"... but surely that's what every band aim to do? Get a fanbase, earn money, get chart hits... surely they wouldn't make it if they didn't want to sell-out? I really, really dislike that term.

What was The Avenue if it wasn't a 'sellout' anyway? It only wasn't a top ten hit because that genre of music hadn't hit its commercial peak yet, if it had been released now it would have been huge as we've discussed before. The Avenue was their first mainstream sort of sound, it's hardly like they've jumped on the bandwagon with it in 2010 just because everyone else is, they were doing it before all of the others were 5 years ago and Wiley certainly was solo!!! At least they haven't gone as stale as Dizzee Rascal plastering their face on anything and everything in a desperate attempt to get #1 hits and more fame/money. I don't get why people don't just appreciate music for what it is and stop worrying if they're allowed to enjoy it or not. :drama: It's why I try to avoid reading Youtube comments, so annoying usually
July 16, 201014 yr it still sounds like Jodie Connor from the last song :/ but shes not in the video.......
July 17, 201014 yr Oof, the video's made me love it more. Does anyone have a HQ? I still only have that crappy radio rip. :( Obviously not as good as 'Good Times' but still pretty amazing.
July 18, 201014 yr The girl singing this is Tania Foster of Supawoman fame! (BJSC people will know what I mean) Two very very promising singles from her so far then
