Posted June 25, 201015 yr Yvette Fielding quits 'Most Haunted' Friday, June 25 2010, 20:44 BST By Ryan Love Source: digitalspy Yvette Fielding has announced that she is leaving Most Haunted. The presenter made the announcement in a statement posted on the website for the show's production company Antix Productions, which she set up with her husband Karl Beattie. "It has been a great ten years. However, after a lot of thought and soul-searching over the past year, I have come to a decision. It is now time for me to hang up my long black coat, move on and leave Most Haunted as its presenter in order to pursue other projects." Fielding said that she is proud of what her "baby" had achieved including being "watched by royalty" and parodied by shows like Saturday Night Live. "At the start I wanted to bring paranormal investigations to a wider audience, making them more acceptable and with the ever growing amount of investigation groups that have started since Most Haunted began, I feel that this has been achieved." The 41-year-old confirmed that she intends to continue working in the field. "As well as continuing with ITV2's Ghosthunting with... - which grows from strength to strength and with some great celebrity guests coming up, it is must-watch TV - I will be carrying on my quest to find paranormal activity on other channels taking investigations further than ever before and extending on what I have already done." Living has yet to confirm if the show will continue with a new presenter but Fielding expressed her hope that it would. "I hope that the brand will continue for years to come as it will always be dear to me."
June 25, 201015 yr :o f*** OFF! NO! :( I'm not going to watch it after she's left. I cant believe it :( When exactly is she leaving? The new series that is being shown on Living now, is that her last series? Oh and what about Most Haunted Live this Halloween, is it still going ahead? :( Im glad she is still carrying on with Ghosthunting With... though :) :snif: Edited June 25, 201015 yr by Chriss_S
June 26, 201015 yr i didn't realise this was still going..? i thought it ended ages ago i love ghosthunting with.. though so i'm glad she's stayed with that
June 26, 201015 yr she couldnt continue with this con trick any longer... after ten years of FAILING to find any evidence of ghosts and using every trick in the book (table tipping <_< , knocks etc). she should be prosecuted for fraud.
June 26, 201015 yr Her "Ghost Hunting with... Girls Aloud" was amazing. I loved it and am a big fan of these shows, but she really is what made it interesting. So i will be disappointed to see her go. But I guess it had to come to an end at some point. ShpZ9lYkpcc LMAO at 2:40 "If he's here... JUST TAP THE f***ING TABLE" "Tap" *Scream* LOL.
June 26, 201015 yr I'm a little gutted as I've been a fan since the start, but to be honest we could all see the show was on it's last legs... The last live event was pretty shocking, Karl and Stuart cannot be trusted and all the knocking on cue is too unbelieveable. All other paranormal investigation teams I know never get much activity, so why would the spirits come out in force for a former Blue Peter presenter to boss them around? Series 1-4 were brilliant, after that there were only a few stand out episodes. It became too focused on Yvette and Karl, and friends and family were hired over professionals. Shame :( . Hopefully though she will host the Live on Halloween, that would be a good date for the show to end on.
June 27, 201015 yr ^ I agree, it was all about her and her family and friends... and Karl/stu were sooo fake. I'd love to see the show back with professionals!
June 27, 201015 yr I used to watch this in the early, early years as my mum was a fan. It started off a very genuine and interesting show but I think Yvette and Karl got too big for their boots and the constant turnaround in crew and desperate antics to try and get some sort of evidence pretty much ruined it. They may have started out with a genuine desire to prove the existance of paranormal activity but I think they've just made it even more of a farce really to those who critique the possibility of ghosts. I do LOVE Yvette Fielding though. She was fantastic on some of the earlier shows. I remember I howled in one of the live ones where she got stuck in some quicksand
June 27, 201015 yr I have such great memories from this show, when it first started me and a school friend were obsessed with it. It started to go down hill a bit though and they've never really caught much on camera so I haven't seen it in ages. Yvette was always hilarious on it though! Edited June 27, 201015 yr by Swagger91
June 28, 201015 yr I don't really watch it anymore but it's quite entertaining to see their wild reactions to some events. This made me laugh, although childish: bT8Su44TXy8
June 29, 201015 yr I just remembered my mother was a massive fan of the show and has met both Derek Acorah and Phil Wyman [He used to be like the sceptic investigator in it]. Both said that Yvette and Karl were very forceful and only cared about the money and were manipulative etc.

June 30, 201015 yr I used to fancy Phil Whyman :\ . Him, Cath and Yvette on the Hellfire Caves Extra episode were hilarious  Derek Acorah was comedy gold, but so obviously fake. David Wells though was simply amazing, he was the only medium that appeared on the show that I truly believed.
July 5, 201014 yr I used to fancy Phil Whyman :\ . Him, Cath and Yvette on the Hellfire Caves Extra episode were hilarious  Derek Acorah was comedy gold, but so obviously fake. David Wells though was simply amazing, he was the only medium that appeared on the show that I truly believed. David Wells was great, it's not really been quite the same since he left. I thought he was very sincere, and after the whole Derek hoo-hah it's kind of what they needed to silence the doubters. In recent years, with Brian Shepherd, Ian Shillitoe and then Chris Conway, it's just been ridiculous with the whole revolving door policy. If MH continues without Yvette, and I really hope it does, then they should get Johnnie Fiori in as medium, and Lesley should take over Yvette's role! And as sweet as Cath is, she doesn't really add anything to MH other than the ability to outscream Yvette, so a good shake-up/overhaul would definately benefit it.
July 6, 201014 yr Was that before or after they found out Derek was a fake?? -_- :kink: :heehee: Hey don't shoot the messenger. :P I always thought Derek was fake and he looks sleazy. It must be the Liverpool accent haha. He had great banter with Yvette though which made it watchable.
