I think maybe number 1, I think it's nearly as good as Up and Issues!!! Btw, you made the poll multiple choice ;)

What's happened with the embed in the first post?

I really like it aside from the odd niggle. I think #3 probably. Kay, surely 10 weeks top 40 would be a fairly good result?

Before I critique the song (:kink:) I have to say this is the best Sats video to date! Such a beautiful setting. Interesting they picked Spain. Many would pick either the UK or the US.

The song sounds weak on first listen. The verses are poor, Frankie's parts are autotuned (saying something?) and the vocals (bar Vanessa's typically strong vocal performance) are poor and even flat in some places.

The great thing about this song is the chorus. When it kicks in, it sounds unpromising. But when they belt out the "begging to get back together", it goes from lacklustre to brilliant!

It's certainly a grower and I think if radio gives it a chance (i'm sure Radio 1 definitely will), it could do surprisingly well. Getting to #1 is going to be hard anyway. It depends on the competition and I have a feeling something big is out that week. Also, it doesn't seem like number one material but there's a first time for everything!

I say Top 5. Before hearing the full song, I was sure it'd go to #4. Now I think it will go to #2/#3. If physicals are out on the same day, I'll say #2. If not, #3.

Top 5. I'm pretty sure the Sats will never get a #1 - Just Can't Get Enough was their only real chance and Flo Rida pipped them.
It reminds me of JLS - One Shot which is not a good thing for me. But it's bearable I guess... The whole song is better than that clip which was hanging around before. Quite like this and think it'll go top-5.
May be able to get to number 1 if its a quiet week, but I'd say probably top 3 instead. Nice song.. will probably start to grow on me soon

Summer video - check

Summer tune - check

Good beat - check

Very current, could do big things, maybe top 5, definitely top 10 just not sure if they have the fanbase for a #1...

This is the release schedule the week of MY's release:

B.o.B. feat Hayley Williams – Airplanes

Dave Rotheray - The Sparrow, The Thrush & The Nightingale

Ellie Goulding – The Writer

Iyaz – So Big

Kassidy – Take Another Ride

Lady Antebellum – I Run To You

Nas & Damian 'Jr Gong' Marley - My Generation

Ne-Yo – Beautiful Monster

Newton Faulkner - Lets Get Together

The Saturdays – Missing You

Stromae - Alors On Danse

Iyaz, B.o.B (admittedly already available) and Ne-Yo are all strong contenders. In contrast, nothing potentially big (bar a TI and Keri collaboration which I haven't heard) is out on 2nd August so I think it'd be wise to put it forward a week if they really want a number one. I hope Polydor/Fascination see that.

Iyaz is also already available and he's got no chance methinks.

Stromae if promoted or whatever is #1 the week before will be the biggest competition for the Sats - Airplanes will have already peaked (hopefully at #1 *crosses fingers*) by mid-August.
