June 27, 201015 yr You don't count Curtain Call as a no. 1 for Eminem? If you do, Recovery is his sixth.
June 27, 201015 yr Author You don't count Curtain Call as a no. 1 for Eminem? If you do, Recovery is his sixth. Oops. I should have qualified it by saying "studio album"
June 27, 201015 yr I actually think its Rihannas vocals that totally ruin Love the Way You Lie  Eminems arent great either though
June 27, 201015 yr The spelling mistake in California Gurls was on purpose, as a homage to Big Star's fantastic song 'September Gurls' (which some detractors might smugly claim Teenage Fanclub built a career from) At least that's Katy Perry's excuse.
June 27, 201015 yr By having his 6th UK No.1 Album, in a row, Eminem breaks 3 UK Chart Records:, 1) The American Act with the most consecutive No.1 Albums. 2) The Male Solo Act with the most consecutive No.1 Albums. 3) The Solo Act with the most consecutive No.1 Albums. ELVIS PRESLEY & MADONNA Both had 11 No.1 Albums each. Elvis never had more than 2 at No.1 in a row - 1960/1961, & 1962. Madonna had 3 in a row, in 1997 - 2000, & 2 in a row, in 2008 - 2009. It's certainly true that TFC were heavily influenced by Big Star.
June 28, 201015 yr Also, all five of Eminem's no. 1's before Recovery spent more than one week on top. Hopefully Recovery can do it too. Edited June 28, 201015 yr by SKOB

June 29, 201015 yr Elsewhere, someone called Philip, has pointed out that Black Eyed Peas now have the Single with the most consecutive Top 75 Weeks, for a Group. It is 'I Gotta Feeling' - No.52 this Week, & on its 52nd Top 75 Week, in a row. It is beaten only by 'Release Me', by Engelbert Humperdinck, (56 in a row), & 'Stranger On The Shore', by Mr. Acker Bilk, (55 in a row). The Black Eyed Peas Single has Charted for 54 Weeks, over all, as it was at No.70 & No.68 last June, before dropping to No.79, & then re-entering, at No.39, on W/E 11th July 2009 - and it has been in the Top 75 ever since.
