It's certainly true that TFC were heavily influenced by Big Star.

June 29, 201015 yr Elsewhere, someone called Philip, has pointed out that Black Eyed Peas now have the Single with the most consecutive Top 75 Weeks, for a Group. It is 'I Gotta Feeling' - No.52 this Week, & on its 52nd Top 75 Week, in a row. It is beaten only by 'Release Me', by Engelbert Humperdinck, (56 in a row), & 'Stranger On The Shore', by Mr. Acker Bilk, (55 in a row). The Black Eyed Peas Single has Charted for 54 Weeks, over all, as it was at No.70 & No.68 last June, before dropping to No.79, & then re-entering, at No.39, on W/E 11th July 2009 - and it has been in the Top 75 ever since.
