YOU READ CORRECT. The banlist and reservation stages have been merged to make the whole process more streamlined and less inactive - also because there's no actual reason for their separation. The final banlist will be announced upon the opening of the confirmation thread (I'm still toying with whether or not to announce banlisted tracks as I go along, as I didn't notice much 'voting for stuff for the sake of it' when I hosted it), at which point you can all GO WILD. Anyway, XXVIII will obv be the greatest contest ever etc., so there we go. The final debate over the BJSC format will open 2NITE, so pay attention y'alls.

 

The dates are unfortunately non-negotiable at the beginning, but may be subject to change in terms of how many days are available for the one big final depending on demand etc. I'm RELUCTANT AS IT IS to go into August for the prospective semi-final stages.

Reservation opens on a Tuesday :D Excellent, much better than Sunday like it was last edition. I wouldn't mind fighting for an artist this time :kink:

Agreed :wub: I'm so glad the scandi-era is coming back around in BJSC. I was SO BORED of indie and generic R&B. That said I might be sending R&B with a twist to the next contest.

There's hardly that amount of indie sent to be even half bored :(

The best, and the worst. The scandi-pop and black metal being fairly terrible, with anything in between generally being quite amazing <3.

 

I think people are brushing off Crystal Castles, Nightwish and others as being 'indie'. But even so, more of anything sent tbh, which is partially why i send alt-pop entries because there's a err... deficit.

Well, indie is basically all the stuff Theo/Aled/JamesP etc doesn't like, that should be one of the definitions :D
