This B.o.B vs. JLS battle is slightly reminiscent of Flo vs. GaGa! (The first week 'Poker Face' got to number 1).

This second album is really make or break for them in regards to me being a slight fan. TCIA has made me even more pessimistic about the quality of the album but I'll try to have an open mind.

 

One of the things I love about Leona is that despite her being hyped around 2007/2008, smashing globally and everyone believing she could do no wrong, complacency was non-existent (I know many believe Happy was a BL 2.0 but it really wasn't). Her second album was even better than the first but JLS' management think anything they release will sell - they aren't Lady GaGa FFS. :lol:

I actually don't know if they think anything JLS release will sell or they genuienly thought The Club Is Alive was a good song :mellow: .. or maybe a mix of both

Not expecting much from this album tbh.. However I did like the first, they have worked with better producers this time around & have said none of the other songs use as much autotune as TCIA.. so I guess it can't be that bad

 

& I think JLS will go 1 - 3 ..Alan Carr appearance may help them next week

I know many think JLS have it in the bag but this has got to be one of the most unpredictable weeks we have had in a long time.

 

JLS are obviously the most likely to get to #1, B.o.B is number one on iTunes now and Katy will be the one who benefits from the weekend effect.

I don't know why so many people seem to adore these two awful tracks that lead iTunes chart at the moment - both Airplanes and California Gurls are utterly dreadful. Far from being a JLS fan, I still wish they held the top spot on the official chart come Sunday even though their new song is fairly weak too.
Coming in here and seeing all the flying insults its really putting me off from posting in here, I should imagine guests that are viewing the topic will just end up registering somewhere else, so let's stop with the flying insults please. I don't care who started it, but I hate reading it, everytime I view this topic.

I think Airplanes is a beautiful track. I don't like California Gurls so much, but it is bearable, and one of the most summery tunes I've ever heard. I like The Club is Alive too, as I do rather like electro/synthpop vibe it gives out (I can't really pick out what its primary genre is though).

 

I'd like Aiprlanes to be number-one the most, as it's my favourite. If not, then JLS, because Katy has already had 2 weeks, and I like both songs.
