whats Beat Again got to do with Englands exit? its not football-related at all

It was a ironic comment, based on the fact that England got *beat again*...

I think JLS should easily sell 100,000. They've already got such a devoted fanbase.

IMO songs should sell (or not) on merit, not simply because they have a fanbase...

Am I the only person that think JLS are going to peak at #2 next week, Katy Perry's track just got the summer vibe around it. It might just hang on for another week or two.

Alas, I can't see that happening - it'll probablt take >100k to beat JLS, and KP isn't going to be selling that this week, let alone next.

I think he's saying it WILL sell 100k, not necessarily that it deserves to...

Any Kelly Rowland fans.. shes on the 5 o'clock show today

JLS probably will get to number 1 as theres not much competition.. Katys 3rd week sales won't be able to compete with their 1st week sales

They managed number 1 with Beat Again 100k+ sales and I'd say they are more popular now than they were back then

'The Club Is Alive' isnt that great of a song. Its not really catchy and its hard to remember the lyrics.

hard to remember the lyrics? LOL you're joking right?

The club is alive is catchy, not very good must admit, but damn catchy

Ofcourse it will be #1, people who doubt it really need to think about it logically, they will be #1.

I think The Club is Alive is better than Beat Again, personally, so that'll probably mean it won't get to number-one.
^ why?

Don't worry, it was just meant to be a joke, based on the fact that it seems the worse a song is, the better it seems to do in the charts.

Obviously, that's not always the case though. We've had some amazing songs do well in the charts this year (in my opinion).

Right....

It will be #1 though, loyal fanbase & has recieved massive support from both tv and radio.

That rarely happens! The entire chart system is about manipulation to get people to buy a record. Airplay, video play, promotion, outrageous headlines, special CD bundles, scarily dedicated fanbases who buy multiple copies. I'm not saying that's a bad thing but I do wonder sometimes how many people buy even the best songs purely on merit

Again, it was a joke. I've already said a few times in the thread it will be number-one.

I think it's a good song though, so I will be happy if it's number-one. :)

It's bizarre but I haven't heard JLSs song anywhere? I've never seen it on the telly or heard it on the radio. BIZARRE.
