The big problem for me is that my own database has always been Top 75 and Chartplus wouldn't help at all by showing Top 200. I would still need to keep up my current database.

Huge problems I have :P

True, but we also provide a New Entry Singles section for all new entries which would give you lots of useful data.

I bought a years worth of back issues as normal but havent recieved them yet. How long does it normally take ?
I used to subscribe to C+ and am thinking of doing so again now, one problem for me though, my computer doesn't recognise all pdf files, some work and some don't! I don't want to pay for something I'm not going to be able to read, I've downloaded adobe on my laptop but it's very hit and miss. Is there another format you can open C+ in??

Adobe should work well but if not then try Foxit http://www.foxitsoftware.com/pdf/reader/

Thanks, just tested it with the sample edition of C+ and it works fine, have subscribed for one month as a trial period, can't wait!!

If there is a problem with an issue of C+, then drop us an email and we'll try and resolve it. All of the issues open for me, using Adobe Reader 9 on Windows 7, and hopefully they will work for everybody, but if not let us know and we'll try and get something that does work to you!

I *would* buy some back-issues, except that they'd probably kill my printer, especially after recent bumper issues. :P

I don't bother printing the index pages now.

From the latest issue...

Over on the album chart, Adele‟s album „21‟ has been

certified as Double Platinum, meaning that 1,200,000

copies have been shipped to the shops, and she has sold

well over half of those in the four weeks she‟s been on

the chart.

Oops, double platinum = 600,000 shipments, on the album chart. :P

Platinum status is based on sales, right? What it's saying is that there are 1.2 million copies in the shops, or were before 600k were bought.

Platinum status for albums is based on shippings and double platinum means 600k, not 1.2m

Albums Shipments:

Silver: 60,000

Gold: 100,000

Platinum: 300,000

2xPlatinum / Double Platinum: 600,000

3xPlatinum / Triple Platinum: 900,000

...etc.

So if there 1,200,000 copies of '21' had been sent to the shops, it'd be applicable to be 4xPlatinum.

The guy who wrote that must have got mixed up with singles certifications.

Fair enough. I don't follow sales that much, and album sales even less.

But where does the download element of album sales come into this - it's not like *they* need shipping... :P

From what I understand, album download sales are still very low, though I don't have figures. That's how the Hurts album can be top 10 all week on iTunes and not top 30 in the midweeks.
