July 4, 201015 yr Ugh not a fan of this version of Waka Waka at all. Why play it Radio 1? Its not like people are buying it...
July 4, 201015 yr This sounds very 80s power ballad-esque. Surprised I haven't heard this before. By any chance is The Edge one of the co-writers?
July 4, 201015 yr Goodness I don't like this version of Waka Waka It sucks the African elements out of it. :( Edited July 4, 201015 yr by Tactical

July 4, 201015 yr New peak for Shakira  I've discovered that this mix is indeed on iTunes and called the 'K Mix'. Still not as great as the original, sounds much more generic. Thanks. I was about to ask the name of this version.

Ke£ha penned the Veronicas' "This Love" and later contributed background vocals to Britney Spears' "Lace and Leather," both of which were released in 2008, but the biggest turning point came in 2009, when she contributed vocals to Flo Rida's Dr. Luke-produced "Right Round," a number one Hot 100 hit. She subsequently signed to RCA; Animal, her debut album, was released in 2010 and reached the top of the Billboard 200, led by the number one single "TiK ToK." - HMV Video here: Chart history (Year peak title): 2009 01 Right Round (Flo Rida Feat. July 4, 201015 yr 23 (from 24) Alexandra Burke Feat. Pitbull - All Night Long [P] http://www3.hmv.co.uk/hmv/Large_Images/HMV/88697686132.JPG Chart Run: 59-71-54-44-43-34-16-8-4-11-17-24-21-24-23 [15 wks] Release date: 17-05-2010 Format: CDS Number of Discs: 1 Catalogue Number: 88697686132 Label: syco Produced by Rico Love, James Scheffer, Samuel Watters, Louis Biancaniello and Armando C. Perez, ‘All Night Long’ is Alexandra’s third consecutive club blazer, with a euphoric mantra designed to keep pop fans and club goers dancing into the twilight hours. For single release, the track has added punch, making its chorus even more rapturous and skillfully capturing the excitement of those perfect party nights. A newly added rap by US wordsmith Pitbull and remixes by Jason Nevins and Cahill cement its club credentials. ‘All Night Long’ is taken from Alexandra’s A-list produced, number one album ‘Overcome,’ which has already born three huge charts hits (‘Hallelujah,’ ‘Bad Boys’ and ‘Broken Heels’) two of which reached the number one spot. Created with the help of perhaps the industries most in-demand production houses (Roc Nation and Jay-Z, The Phantom Boyz, Red One, Ne-Yo and Stargate) the album has already sold in excess of 500,000 copies in the UK alone. With mainland Europe and America about to jump on board the Burke bandwagon, this diva’s star is about to go supernova. 2009 was a sensational year for 21 year old Alexandra Burke. Crowned The X Factor champion in December 2008, her debut single release 'Hallelujah', became the Christmas Number One and the fastest selling single by a female artist in UK chart history. The song became the fastest selling download single across Europe, selling more downloads in two days than the previous record holder sold in a week. In October, Alexandra debuted her single ‘Bad Boys’ on the first live X Factor show. It hit number one immediately afterwards and became one of the year’s biggest hit singles. The album ‘Overcome’ followed the single to number one, outselling new albums by Whitney Houston and Michael Buble combined. 2010 kicked off with the release of the single ‘Broken Heels,’ which stormed into the Top Ten, selling over 230,000 copies to date. Alexandra also received two Brit nominations and appeared on the Help For Haiti charity single ‘Everybody Hurts’ (alongside the likes of Robbie Williams, Leona Lewis, Mariah Carey and Kylie Minogue) which shot to number one in February. - HMV Video here: track listing 1. July 4, 201015 yr What a chart run for All Night Long with no R1 support at all. :o She's been unavoidable everywhere else though, so it's not really a surprise.
July 4, 201015 yr They actually made a video for this? I'm genuinely surprised there, I wonder if the Top 40 show on Viva will play this video, or will they skip like they did with Fairytale by Alex Rybak? Yes, although it was made a number of years ago for Marco's original cover of the song. The remix is new/a cheap cash in but the video has just been edited accordingly.
