July 7, 201014 yr Y'all can nominate your favourite female artists here for our Ultimate Female Singer competition ^_^ http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=114157 I think if Gaga can deliver the hits on her 2nd album like she has the past two years she stands a good chance of having a long, lasting career.
July 7, 201014 yr Author Britney Spears biggest hit: Baby One More Time, Oops! I Did It Again, Toxic Lady GaGa: Poker Face Lady GaGa has only one in 2 years whereas Brit had 2, plus Telephone is not a big hit.

I Did It Again, Toxic Lady GaGa: Poker Face Lady GaGa has only one in 2 years whereas Brit had 2, plus Telephone is not a big hit.Are you crazy? GaGa finished twice in the Top 3 in the YE charts last year. ALL of GaGa's songs have been HUGE. Bar maybe 'LoveGame' & 'Alejandro' (which isn't as big as other GaGa songs, but the albums sold shed loads). All of her songs have gone Top 10 in the US too. So yet again, another silly post from you. (I'm a Britney fan too.)

July 7, 201014 yr Of all time: Clearly Madonna. Kylie would be a close but still relatively distant second. Madonna fan or not, the woman's had a massive influence and is still around today after 20+ years. Current: GaGa. 2 years or not, the woman has sold in incredible numbers, is absoulutely everywhere and is probably already influencing other artists. And this isnt coming from someone who considers themselves a huge fan of her either. Beyonce would obviously be a near second, there's no denying her last era has again been huge for her. Pink, Rihanna and somewhat suprisingly Alicia Keys are also of course selling in big numbers and are pretty much unescapable. Kylie, Britney and Madonna are obviously still as relevant as ever, but they're no longer the front-runners in the modern music market however huge they were in the past.
July 7, 201014 yr I just read that thread, one regular member posted a RUMOUR and then some randomer with a few posts said there was "confirmation on the internet Sophie had left Fascination and she now has no label", but he provided no source and nobody in the topic believed him. Good one. :heehee: Sophie is a guest on Dermot O'Leary's Radio 2 show on Saturday.

Crazy huh, i'm not taking about the UK only, talking about global sales, BOMT sold 9.2m,Toxic sold 5.9m, OIDIA sold 6m, whereas Telephnoe sold 3.4, only PF and JD sold over 6 million. So no, it is not a silly post know the facts first before you post, mate.

I think you need to check your facts before you post, according to wikipedia (and the information is sourced with a valid link) Poker Face has sold 9.8 Million WW and Just Dance has sold 7.7 Million World wide, mind you that figure was taken from 2009 so I imagine its higher now. I imagine Bad Romance is not far behind as well.

Those Britney songs are all quite old when sales would have been higer surely? it's not right comparing them to sales nowadays which will be lower generally

July 7, 201014 yr it's not right comparing them to sales nowadays which will be lower generally Because of that I said that comparing Brit & Gaga is really ridiculous. Gaga is now huge same as Britney when she started. I know that Gaga is today big seller, but Gaga is far of that title Queen Of Pop. She needs to do alot more for music... We will see her after 10 years where she will be.. Britney is still strong, of course not like before, but she still can get number one song and album WW. Without any TV promo.
July 7, 201014 yr I think I have to go with Madonna. From an objective position she's had longevity and commercial success throughout her career. From a personal, subjective perspective I prefer Kylie massively. I personally get the feeling that with Madonna this is a job, with Kylie I think she genuinely enjoys it.
July 7, 201014 yr What's wrong with '3'. it's like every f***in song these days. Funny and forgettable... Madonna is the Queen but she put some rubbish songs like Revolvar, or whole of Hard Candy.... imo.. 3 is a crap song. Dont get me wrong, Britney has good tracks its just that i think Lady GaGa is Queen B for the monent. Britneys new Album Might drop at the end of this year and everything could change who knows
July 8, 201014 yr I believe it's Madonna, its an easy title for her because she is huge worldwide. I wouldn't really say Kylie (but I'm not the biggest fan so I'm probably bias). I wouldn't put Britney as the Queen, but shes definately in the race somewhere, her longetivity shows that! As for the Gaga comments, that is like saying JLS are the new kings of pop.
July 8, 201014 yr As for the Gaga comments, that is like saying JLS are the new kings of pop. Not really. Have JLS had an instant worldwide impact on music and the creative arts?
