March 5, 201114 yr Author Possibly. I read elsewhere that iTunes apparently isn't even Sweden's biggest retailer when it comes to download sales... Do we know who is? r.e. Eric/Danny, Eric's song comes across as slightly more 'Eurovision' than Danny's, which could literally be a current worldwide chart hit - so I'm not overly surprised that the latter has been #1 nearly all week - I expect it will appeal to the casual music fan/non MF fan (does Sweden have any?) more than Eric will...
March 5, 201114 yr :/ :/ :/ They just don't want anyone but Eric to win! :manson: Sara, like Af Ugglas, performing 2nd  What? That draw's amazing for Danny and Sanna as well you know.

God knows! I'll try and have a look. I reckon Danny's got a lot of casual sales, so I'm not sure how it'll translate into overall success - although he has top three wrapped up now.
March 5, 201114 yr BUGGER! He's done to Sara what he did to Caroline, put her in the 'death slot' to take away any impact she might have on Eric 'the chosen one' Saade, had she been up later on. Hopefully that will have killed off any momentum The Moniker might have had too though... It is a bad draw, but as far as I recall, the Swedish juries have been scrapped in favour of international juries, and we all know how varying they can be based on past experience. Who can forget Alla?! Sara will hopefully be popular with them.
March 5, 201114 yr What? That draw's amazing for Danny and Sanna as well you know. Eric being last 2 times in a row. Not really biased innit! Plus the 'death slot' for the underdog. It's getting tiresome. Why don't they leave it to random.org?!
March 5, 201114 yr Eric being last 2 times in a row. Not really biased innit! Plus the 'death slot' for the underdog. It's getting tiresome. Why don't they leave it to random.org?! Because the thing's the biggest event in Sweden, on a par with the X Factor - it's obviously biased in that they're going to want the biggest draws on first and last. They wouldn't want the two biggest draws on first and second with progressively less popular and interesting candidates on all the way until the end otherwise people would just tune out - such is Melodifestivalen's popularity that the Eurovision choosing aspect's almost become secondary to the whole affair.

I've got a quote from somebody's who's in the music industry: I honestly wouldn't worry what is happening on iTunes. It's not even the biggest digital barometer in Sweden, before even factoring in the fact that the digital audience is COMPLETELY different to the televoting audience.

Who can forget Alla?! Sara will hopefully be popular with them. Didn't the international juries last year consist of one person from said country who happened to be backstage at Globen at the time, who they pretended was calling from Ireland or Greece/wherever? It would be nice if they actually had international juries the same as in Eurovision and phoned them. I'll never forget Alla! I've been to a LOT of concerts in my life but never seen anything with such an underwhelming audience reaction
March 5, 201114 yr Alla  Probably my favourite from the 2009 final. The international juries clearly have better taste.

March 5, 201114 yr oh so it's official Sweden's gone CRAZY! srsly the 2 best songs made it only to the AC were eliminated there? WTF? Loreen in the 1st round even :o and IMO that's the best song in this years MF! :/ Edited March 5, 201114 yr by ♫ Boyan ♫
March 5, 201114 yr Author Alla  Probably my favourite from the 2009 final. The international juries clearly have better taste. The 2009 final was probably my favourite ever, so much incredible pop from big stars and 9 of the 11 songs were literally amazing. Sofia and H.E.A.T screwed things up a bit for me but I can appreciate why the latter was there and it gave proceedings a bit of diversity...

Loreen in the 1st round even :o and IMO that's the best song in this years MF! :/ If the duels weren't in place, I honestly believe that it would have been either Loreen or Love Generation going through to Globen alongside Sara... The Moniker got very lucky imo
March 5, 201114 yr Author Ladbrokes have Sara Varga at 67/1 Are they being serious  I'm tempted to reinvest my winnings from tonight but there's no way she's winning overall. If I could do an each way bet, I wouldn't hesitate but the option doesn't appear to be there... edit: ok, 50/1 now...watch it fall further during the week
March 5, 201114 yr LOL at Eric being last 2 years in a row :kink: TBH, I'mma do my Top 10 of Melodifestivalen 2011 to make my ideal GLOBEN: 01 Sanna Nielsen - I'm In Love 02 Love Generation - Dance Alone 03 Danny - In The Club 04 Loreen - My Heart Is Refusing Me 05 Eric Saade - Popular 06 Swingfly - Me And My Drum 07 Anniela - Elektrisk 08 Dilba - Try Again 09 Pernilla Andersson - Desperados 10 Linda Sundblad - Lucky You Edited March 5, 201114 yr by ROBOT
March 6, 201114 yr I'm not really phazed by the AC Results - This year sucks.. I'm rooting for Eric to win.. But in other news - I've heard the clips from Danny's new album.. IT HAS 8 f***ING TRACKS.. ONE OF WHICH WAS ON HIS LAST ALBUM. I was pissed - Than I heard them.. It's pretty solid! In The Club was one of the WORSTS - I think if would have heard Eric's Entry.. He would have sent "In Love With A Lover". Can't wait!
