March 7, 201114 yr It's not quite as catastrophic as Britain's Got Talent dropping from 18 million viewers to 2 million, because the ratings are still respectable. They are down on previous years, but it's still getting 2.8 million viewers or so each week which is 30% of their population and the equivilent of about 18 million viewers in the UK. So with that in mind those voting figures are very peculiar!! Also I don't think the figures for LG and Jenny necessarily say that they're the most popular ones, it could just mean that people got fed up with voting after the first duel. And remember that Sara beat Loreen by a bigger margin than LG beat Jenny so perhaps it's not that surprising that Sara won in the end.

I've just literally realised that everything about Pernilla Andersson (her musical style, stage presence and appearance) basically makes me think that she IS Taylor Swift in 15 years time :lol: You know, when the latter reaches her 'respectable 11th album' stage!

March 8, 201114 yr Author Rather underwhelming album on first listen. Apart from I'm In Love and Devotion I can barely remember a thing about it, and I've only just finished listening to it... Ballads are obviously her comfort zone which would be fine, but Empty Room aside, her ballads tend to be completely unmemorable. We want more schlager Sanna! There's not even a Nobody Without You style stomping uptempo on here :(

I do hope that they don't pull of a Caroline/Shirley, or even worse go one better :drama: I think they'll be top five on the televote, 3rd-5th, so it depends how generous the international juries are feeling - they should remember that it's not 2007 and this type of pop is not in vogue anymore. Or maybe they'll deliberately vote for it to sabotage Sweden - bit of a risk having international juries there surely? :lol: Still if sabotage was on the cards, they'd no doubt all unite behind Brolle, now THERE is a guaranteed DNQ! Out of interest, have both AC qualifiers ever come top 5 in the final before? Becuase it's looking hugely likely this year :o

March 8, 201114 yr Author Sanna's single is down to #39 on iTunes, the album is bombing in impressive style (#92 last time I checked :drama:) and the hype around the song has all but died off completely. She definitely can't crack what I think is now a runaway top six (even if I have NO idea what the order will be), and of the remaining songs, I think The Playtones will sadly get the 7th spot in the televoting as they seem to be very popular over there. I think Brolle, Sanna and Linda will definitely be the three songs absent from the televoting points anyway. This is now how I'm guessing the final will pan out; 1. Eric Saade 2. Danny 3. Nicke Borg 4. Sara Varga 5. The Moniker 6. Swingfly ------------ 7. Linda Bengtzing 8. Sanna Nielsen 9. The Playtones ------------ 10. Brolle I'm quite certain that Brolle will be in last now, I can't see the juries going for it and the public definitely won't be, The Playtones have the bigger fanbase in that respect. Playtones/Linda/Sanna could line up in any order between 7-9 but I don't see any of them going higher. I've put the Playtones in 9th as I think they'll get the 11 (or whatever the 7th place score is this year) on the televote but the juries will give a slight leg up to Linda and Sanna. Swingfly is a really hard one to predict but I'm guessing that the televoters will be kinder to it than the juries, but not kind enough to quite get it into the top five overall, so 6th it is for that. The Moniker appear to be building up steam quickly and I do think that they'll come top 3rd-5th in the televotes, possibly slightly lower with the juries so I'll go with 5th overall. I think Sara will have huge public support, but it's a little bit hard to call what the international juries will make of it - possibly not much? Which could set it back a little bit...Nicke's song is incredibly anthemic and has a brilliant draw, but I just can't quite see it making it past the finish line. Which leaves Eric and Danny, I'm quite certain that Eric will comprehensively top the televote, but Danny may top the international jury vote...either way, I think Eric will just edge it, but that it will be closer than initially expected.

I did actually realise that just after I'd posted it but I was delirious and just about ready to collapse so turned the laptop off and went straight to sleep - I'm still feeling VERY ill, and quite relieved that I didn't arrange to go to MF this year, I can't understand why I seem to get this horrendous bug at the same time every year :drama: Come on, you know the normal me goes through each post with a tooth comb to make sure it's free of spelling, grammar and other errors :lol:
