Final heat's clips are up!

http://svt.se/2.148322/melodifestivalen_2011

Unfortunately the heat is TERRIBLE considering the big names. Both Lindas are good but not great - Pritch is Diet Evanescence, Bengtz is Diet Varsta Schlagern; the heat is in such a state that it's no wonder Nicke Borg is seen as a favourite. Love Generation, as I've been saying for WEEKS, are the saviours of the heat and do a good performance by the looks of things, but I'm now convinced Eric has the final wrapped up.

Julia Alvgard's good actually, but she doesn't stand a chance...

I shall ADORE the whole thing then!

False alarm.

AWFUL heat. Leaving Hoime is particularly HORRENDOUS. It just makes me want to kick myself in the stomach with a big baseball bat and then eat a bunch of needles.

I thought we already had one ABBA ripoff?! There is one AGAIN. They are quite popular this season. [unless i'm confusing them with someone else  ]

Julia indeed sounds like the best one in the AWFUL bunch.

Why the complaints? I think this is a decent heat. The songs are bit more adventorous than previous heats but Linda Bengizting, you've sent the same thing the last three times but made it a bit more modern for 2011. Try a rock song or a dance song like Love Generation! I never want to hear Lasse Stefanz again though - it's horrible!!

My Rankings:

1. Linda Pricthard (She has an impressive voice and the choir works well with this rock ballad)

2. Melody Club

3. Nicke Borg

4. Love Generation

5. Anders Fernette

6. Julia Alvgard (Improved dramatically, but sadly I can't see it doing anything)

7. Linda Bengzting

8. Lasse Stefanz

PREDICTIONS:

Globen: 1st Love Generation 2nd Lasse Stefanz (Sorry, after the Playtones shocker last week don't rule this out)

Andra Chansen: Linda Bengtzing and Nicke Borg

5th Melody Club (sadly that slapper Linda Bengtzing will make it to Andra Chansen :()

6th Anders Fernette

7th Linda Pritchard (four in a row with my favs missing out :()

8th Julia Alvgard.

Vaken i en drom was terrible! And Eric is the pretty obvious winner of MF (though Sanna/LG could put up a good fight). I can't say I'm really understanding the people who think it won't do well in Dusseldorf given the quality of the competition so far...

Me saying it won't do well is only really based on the fact that uptempo pop erring on the side of schlager NEVER does well anymore, that said, I guess it could go the more the way of Playing With Fire than Je Ne Sais Quoi? We've had 17 songs chosen so far and I'm only thoroughly impressed by one of them - that is a DIRE showing. With that in mind, it could easily come top 5/10 if the competition remains this bad.

As a huge Sanna fan, I'd love to see her sneak a win (I prefer it to Popular) but firstly I'm not too blinded by looning to see that it would flop at ESC, and secondly, the televoters will definitely go for Eric, the international juries probably will too and I can't see it coming any higher than 2nd. Plus, if Love Generation win their heat, that'll be four uptempo pop numbers that have done so, well they'll surely all be eating each others votes? I wonder if somebody like Sara Varga could sneak through Andra Chansen and give us a shock top 3?

Still not convinced Eric will win it somehow, I've got a really surprisingly strong feeling Danny could pull off a shock win.

Let's not get RIDICULOUS. If anyone it'll be Sara Varga <3

No chance. Danny will be 5th at best I should think. There's a far better contemporary male pop song there and Eric will eat his votes right up. I'm seeing;

1st - Eric

2nd - Sanna

3rd - Heat 4 winner/Andra Chansen qualifier

4th - Andra Chansen qualifier/Heat 4 winner

5th - Danny

and hopefully Brolle/The Playtones in 9th and 10th with the minimum points possible :puke:

1. Melody Club – 466 (47,02%)

2. Linda Bengtzing – 156 (15,74%)

3. Love Generation – 129 (13,02%)

4. Nicke Borg – 116 (11,71%)

5. Lasse Stefanz – 50 (5,05%)

6. Linda Pritchard – 32 (3,23%)

7. Anders Fernette – 22 (2,22%)

8. Julia Alvgard – 20 (2,02%)

The results after rehearsals.

Given they've been massively unreliable for the last few weeks and every other source has said

Melody Club

have been incredibly underwhelming, I'm not particularly inclined to start paying attention to the audience reactions now.

It's going to be incredibly tight tonight - Anders and Julia are already straight out of contention, but the other six will need to squeeze into the four places, and I reckon there could be two fairly high profile misses as I wouldn't be at all surprised to see Nicke and Lasse go through at the expense of one of the Linda's, and god forbid if the public don't connect with them/the song - Love Generation.

Sorry, but I'm starting to like 'The King' in a novelty way and the fact it reminds me of something Harry Hill used to sing on his TV Burp show

The melody of the singing

And we now have all the tracks of this year's Melodifestivalen! Buzzjack will predictably love themselves a bit of Love Generation.

[★★★★★★★★★★] Melody Club - The Hunter

[★★★★★★★★★★] Julia Alvgard - Better Or Worse

[★★★★★★★★★] Lasse Stefanz - En blick och nånting händer

[★★★★★★★★★★] Linda Pritchard - Alive

[★★★★★★★★★★] Anders Fernette - Run

[★★★★★★★★★★] Linda Bengtzing - E de fel på mig

[★★★★★★★★★★] Nicke Borg - Leaving Home

[★★★★★★★★★★] Love Generation - Dance Alone

'TIS ALL ABOUT LINDAS. Clearly.

My prediction...

Globen: Melody Club (1st), Love Generation/Linda Bengtzing (2nd)

AC: Linda Bengtzing/Love Generation, Linda Pritchard (this one is SO going to AC, i mean traditions are traditions)

Nice english! :o
