I hardly think its becuase of her "longevity and millions of record sales". A lot of acts have been around longer and sold more, but they dont get targeted for hatred. Well I look at it like this... she is obviously going to be hated on because she continues to be a staple regardless of having more then her share of haters since the first quarter of her career. This forum has a problem with Britney at times, but every huge artist has many people that don't like them. The same could be said for Madonna, Kylie Minogue, Lady GaGa, etc. And before anyone gets their panties in a wad I'm just comparing those four because they are four of the most popular artists on this forum as well as around the world. Though Lady GaGa has not proven she will last.

July 19, 201015 yr hmm... i'm not getting all the britney hate. sure, some of her more recent material has been a little bit generic and boring, but she has had some fantastic tunes. everytime is a POP CLASSIC in my opinion. i don't think people hate on her because she's sold millions. i mean... why would they?? that would just be a tad jealous in my opinion. i can't see people taking that opinion. perhaps it's because, as a former FAN of britney, they too have been disappointed with songs such as 'womanizer' and '3'. just a thought... also, at the person who said kylie isn't talented... HA
