I heard a clip of 'Hotel on a hill' which is classic Mcfly but better

it's just Tom at the piano(as far as i could gather)

 

Foolish was another Classic Mcfly track but really catchy and mature

 

Dragon ball was also classic Mcfly but more rocky

OMG it's good :/ Even Tom sounds good for once. Reminds me of 3Oh!3 and Cobra Starship type music. Goodness.

Well, YES, but they've never been any good before at all for me :o

I like this (well the snippet I've heard) there are traces of it that are reminiscent of Bad Romance. Having said that ... I actually like quite a few of McFly's songs and I really don't understand the general 'McFly hate' that seems to go on here on BJ. I really don't see what they do that warrants these reactions.

Well i never thought i'd see the day but i'm glad i have :) i've been a mcfly fan from day one but i'm gonna be controversial and say i'm a bit disappointed by this song... yeah it's an OK pop song and quite catchy and everything but it sounds like it could have been sung by any one of JLS/Taio/Justin Bieber etc. I'm all for a change of direction but i think that's too drastic a change of direction! I guess we'll have to wait and see what the rest of the album's like, i've been told it's not all dance/R&B...

YESSS! Someone else who likes 'Transylvania' over 'Baby's Coming Back' (which is my least favourite McFly song to date)! 'Transylvania' is sooo underrated :(

Thanks so much for those! Well if i was slightly disappointed by Party Girl, listening to those songs has completely restored my faith in the boys :D

 

Sunny Side of The Street and Here Comes The Storm are absolutely brilliant! Especially for demos! And the other two are pretty good too... if that's the sound of the album then bring it on!!!

 

Listening to those has actually brightened up my day!

According to todays Daily Mirror it is.

 

I think this sounds pretty good- will have to judge when I hear the full song though

 

I quite like McFly, although I completely understand why their records bomb so much, Babys Coming Back falling 1-20 was hilarious though :kink: I like Obviously, Five Colours In Her Hair and All About You and Star Girl is great too- used to hear it on Chris Moyles every Friday morning and it was quite funny as they just acted really enthusiastic over it :lol:

 

Their version of Dont Stop Me Now was dreadful though

I don't rate Transylvania much these days but funnily enough it was the song that turned me into a casual McFly fan and got me buying their back catalogue when it came out.
