Well sod you all! I don't care if you all think Golf is boring! Its the only sport that Britain has any decent players in so I'm starting a thread for it.

I want John Daly to win but I expect after his quite brilliant 66 today ... he'll go out on the town tonight and celebrate ... getting hammered in the process ... and come out tomorrow and play the round from hell! He's a born entertainer though ... and a breath of fresh air in the game.

Its not a sport though....

This may be lovely to watch on telly, god only knows why you'd want to, but this is a f***ing nightmare to live and work by. 99.63% of the people in St Andrews for the Golf are rude c**ts. None of them can drive, which is handy in a town/city where some of Fifes/Scotlands/UKs worst drivers are from.

The Golf Tourists just walk f***ing everywhere. I am going to knock one down soon, might teach the morons that the road is for cars.

Plus it took me over 40minutes yesterday to get to the outskirts of St Andrews from Guardbridge, about 2-3miles up the road.

The open can f*** off and it can take that f***ing airshow in september with it.

Are you suggesting drivers in Scotland are bad? Whenever I've visited relatives up there I've found the Scots to be some of the most laid-back, best drivers around.

Back to the golf though. It IS a sport! And it isn't just great to watch but great to play. I used to be a member of a club down south until I got a warning for my swearing when shots didn't go my way. If you're ever frustrated by anyone ... the best form of relief is to go to a driving range and beat the crap out of a hundred or so golf-balls. I still do that to this day! For example tomorrow ... I'll probably go and hit 200 balls - a hundred for Robbie Williams and a hundred for Gary Barlow!

Fife is like the home of moronic drivers. St Andrews is the worst spot, it's local morons meet tourists meet golf freaks. It's a complete nightmare when the open's in town :(

Swimming eats up my frustration, or i calm down with some Bones DVD's. When i used to go to the range i used to aim for the dude in the tractor

I've never really watched golf before, but I've been quite into this open so far :o

It's more exciting than you think :kink:

Good isn't it? John Daly really livens things up.

I'm looking forward to the Ryder Cup though ... I love it when Europe is up against the USA.

They're clown trousers

I just like seeing grown men (mostly Tiger Woods) losing their rag

He always wears extravagant, loud, broadly patterned trousers. Its brilliant when his wife is on tour with him ... a lot of the time she'll have a matching mini-skirt!

I think the South African (Louis something) has a pretty good lead ... but I was thinking it would be strange if Jiminez caught up and took it to a play-off. If he won ... that would be three major Spanish victories this year.

But I'd have loved John to win. I hope he has a good finish and is selected for the US Ryder Cup team ... even though my loyalties will then be divided!
