Arcade Fire have never been a big singles act, but whether WUTW does well or not depends on whether there's been any hype for this era. I wouldn't know. I certainly haven't seen any though. It'll either go top 20, just scrape the top 40 or miss the top 75.

 

I'm gonna guess around #28, the same as The Courteener's 'You Overdid It Doll'.

 

Actually, I think I'm gonna put that prediction down a lot to #78 given the far superior 'Keep The Car Running', lead off #2 album 'Neon Bible', only made #56.

I love The Hoosiers and own an album of their's but I don't think they have the hype *awaits onslaught*. :(

I hope jedward don't climb cause there performing on big brother eurgh although hopefully there's not enough people watchin lol

But I don't think 'Keep the Car Running' had Radio 1 Playlist status, and if it did, it wasn't as high as A Listed like We Used to Wait. I think this will just scrape the top 40 a la North America's other 'indie' darlings, Vampire Weekend.

I really hope Beautiful Monster isn't too big. It's so boring to me, and seems like a mixture of genres so much that it just sounds very generic.

 

It hasn't done too well in other countries so far though. The best it seems to have done so far is #3 in Korea, and it must've been released there ages ago now, because it's #100, down 10 this week. :o

Oh, that's not so bad then. I was expecting it to have been an X Factor-style performance after an eviction or something.

 

And Alors on danse is back up to #196 (but this time it's the version from his album Cheese, whilst the version from Clubland 17 has disappeared from the top 1,000, in under a day! :o).

I doubt Jedward's performance on Big Brother is going to help it at all in the chart. :lol:
