Poor Hoosiers, the first decent song of theirs and it's stuck at #11 and destined to be that position officially. :(

Ne-Yo is OK but nothing special. I hope neither Tinchy Stryder or The Saturdays get #1 next week though. Awful records and the worst either has released so far.

Not that I wish to get involved in some stupid arguement about the Sats in the I-Tunes thread about how they'll get dropped or not. But I'd just like to add that I think it's safe to say The Saturdays are probably on safer ground than the Sugababes are at the moment.

 

I don't think it's looking great for either of them to be honest.

 

I thought the saturdays last album would be huge but it wasn't atall and i imagine headlines will do pretty badly aswell.

The Saturdays being at 50 in Pre-orders is good for them. Wordshaker only entered the top 100 a couple of days before release so it's good that it's that high with 2 weeks until release. Plus there's loads of other albums on pre-order and most arn't even in the top 200.

I agree it's looking good. It's highest on Hmv pre-order. That's encouraging!

I actually think Headlines will go top 5 for sure.

 

The inevitable advert that will promote the album on TV channels will definitely include 'Ego' and 'Forever Is Over' as well as 'Missing You'.

 

The majority of the 200,000 people that bought 'Ego' and the 100,000 people that bought 'Forever Is Over' clearly didn't want to buy Wordshaker. I think 'Missing You' will sell more than FIO and will probably make the Wordshaker buyers and MY buyers buy Headlines.

She's had a UK tour and is touring again in November, She's headlined festivals such as the Itunes Festival & Isle Of White, and shes done Glastonbury and other festivals. There is a big interest in her. She will be making tons of money from them.

Stop making this stuff up, as of last week it's done 278,000 for this year alone, and the album was released last year so she's easily eclipsed 300,000 and is probably around 400,000 if anything. Not to mention it's on the climb again and pretty high up.

Depending on how high up they are on the line up. Bands/singers on the main stage make the most and the lower stages make the least. For something like T4 on the beach, I dunno how it works; would think they'd get payed the same but it depends on how much the different artists are asking for. Well established acts would earn more at concerts such as T4 on the beach.

In relation to the second question for a new artists it depends what their contract is like and how much money is put into them. For more established acts it's usually consistent terrible sales that lose the record company the money they made from previous efforts.

Depends how much was spent on her.

 

She's worked with a few established producers (Cathy Dennis, Eg White etc) but I don't know whether they were expensive to get.

 

If she can get an XF slot this year, she'll definitely be ok.
