So glad R1 are apparently snubbing Alex - it's such an awful, awful song. Dynamite is a bit crap... hope Teenage Dream beats it to #1. Or pretty much anything else for that matter. New Aggro Santos song is great, better than Candy :D But it'll flop I think :( EVERYTHING EVERYTHING :w00t: Thought R1 might snub My Kz, Ur Bf after Schoolin' flopped so hard. Hurts, who I thought they may add after I've heard them play it a few times at night, and once during the day (I think that was today). The Pretty Reckless, who I was unsure about after "Make Me Wanna Die" only got to #16.

July 28, 201015 yr Gutted for Shontelle - I think her song needed radio 1 backing to be successful. I really really like Biffy Clyro but 6 singles from one album is really pushing it, and God & Satan is hardly one of their best. I think radio 1 should have ignored it again. Quite surprised for Hurts, but will probably be another flop. I'm not particularly very bothered about Alexandra not being playlisted. :lol:

I'm not sure how long The Drums have been there but A List next please. One of the best pop songs umm, ever? (maybe)
July 28, 201015 yr Surprised The Wanted were not added It's incredibly rare they add something upon its release date or very soon before, or even after. They never playlisted or added Shakira after she went to #1. Although by the same token they did add Esmee's 'Outta Here' and Sophie Ellis-Bextor's 'Heartbreak' when they started to do well, so they act in mysterious ways.

That's partly right, most of the time they don't playlist based on the songs or whatever, it's always based on the artist themselves, and whether Radio 1 deem them to be relevant, have a vendetta against them or to do with how big the artist's profile is etc. A lot of people don't realise that.
